  1. Why isn't this stuff listed somewhere? So to confirm I should be putting 385cc in the left leg and 370cc in the right for an 06 bike? Oh and I take it the left and right is from when im off the back facing the front?
  2. Thanks Copemech. Interesting you quote different quantities of oil for the later bikes. The guides for the 03 state 350cc.
  3. I have read the for seal replacement guide from Wayne's corner if thats what you mean. Although this is based on the 03 forks. Come on Wayne up date your guides they are soooo usefull!
  4. Does anyone know what fork oil weight comes as standard on the 2006 bikes?
  5. Great thanks Ishy! I think I may have it sussed with your help! I will give it a go at the weekend.
  6. Ok a bit confussed. You say three yellows but ive only got the following wires that feed the handlebar mounted kill switch and light switch: Black Yellow & Green Yellow Brown Blue The front light has been taken off together with the controls for the brake light that attaches to the front brake lever. I have managed to find a wiring diagram on the sherco site but its in Spanish! My new kill switch has a black and a purple wire. From what your saying I should connect my black wire to the one on the new kill switch and then connect the purple one to where???? Thanks
  7. I hate problems like these! Most people will tell you (once everything is checked and clean) that its either carburation or electrics. Sounds electrical, but you will have to either get it into a bike shop or try and diagnose yourself. Either way be prepared for it to not work first time.
  8. I have decided to take off the standard clumbersome kill switch/lighting thingy and was wondering which wires control the engine kill switch. The one I have bought has a black and a purple coloured wire. Does anyone have an english wiring diagram or know which colour wires in the original assembly control the kill switch? P.s The bike is an 06 cabestany.
  9. While we are cleaning our bits you will be off to lampkins to replace your stator then
  10. Wow! thats a lot of protection! Saying that I know why you wear it. I am tempted to start with some knee pads. Oneal make some cheap ones that may be worth the money as I may find I hate them and would be better without them......
  11. Thanks I will have a look. I do wonder how many people with Polycarbonate helmet have stickers on!
  12. I have a black Hebo helmet and fancy some stickers that would make it look a bit better. Any suggestions? does anyone make sticker kits for helmets? Or should i just buy a new one....hummm

    Chains

There is only one make in my opinion if you dont want to have a huge off by having a snapped chain and thats RENTHAL ! The Renthal R1 chain is a little larger in size when you compare the links but the quality is there.
  14. Out of interest what protection (make, model) do you wear?
  15. Ok we all should recognise that we need to be wearing a helmet to protect your melon when you come off. But I wonder how many people wear knee protectors or back protectors whilst riding. As trails is generally a low speed sport do we really need this type of protection. I have seen a few people wearing such protection and I was wondering if A, it is really required and B, where are they getting it from........MX stuff I wonder? I would imagine it restricts movement?
  16. Does anyone know what the standard tooth numbers are on a 06 290 Cabestany? Just out of interest what teeth layout do you run? 10 - 42? 11 - 44?
  17. For all those moaning about the police...looks like they may have caught the thieves..... http://www.cleveland.police.uk/news_resour...tm#a071123_0940
  18. Thanks for all the replies. I have generally adopted the back wheel in first and then lift the front in. Trying to do fancy things with the bike started just seems crazy unless you want to make a nice score mark or worse put the rear window through. Also swinging the bike in whilst holding down the front brake seems a bit precarious! Maybe its the wrong thing to do but I dead lift both the back wheel in and then the front wheel in. The back wheel goes in with me holding the swing arm and the front wheel goes in with me holding on to the upper rim. Would a lifting belt prevent an injury with this technique?
  19. I found this guide really useful when learning to ride and I still do......pity I havent managed to learn them all yet. http://trialstrainingcenter.com/html/how_to_ride.html Hope this helps!
  20. Well the title says it all.....is there a guide to not injuring myself when picking up the rear of my bike whilst getting it onto a rack??? I tend to lift the back wheel on and then lift the front wheel on.
  21. This is misleading then: http://www.carolenash.com/offroad/offroad.asp I quote from their site - "The policy covers the vehicle at home, at a professionally organised racetrack or practice ground and whilst in transit." curious............
  22. For everyones information if you know anything, email or contact below: http://www.cleveland.police.uk/news_resour...tm#a071019_1150 Catch the criminals!!!!!
  23. --> QUOTE(John.B @ Oct 27 2007, 10:27 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think it's American slang meaning "are you up for a fight or a challenge" To be honest I have heard americans using it as another word for a challenge before ......so your probably right.
  24. --> QUOTE(John.B @ Oct 26 2007, 07:30 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What does "feel froggy" mean Copemech, could you explain, Thanks. Jump the pond! Keep up....
