  1. I seem to recall the sizes are listed in the Sherco parts book. They are different at each end!
  2. My bloody e-mail will not work to upload the piccys so heres the goods, hope Andy does not get peed for me spamming! Ok fellows, since this topic has once again sparked several inquiries, I shall try to respond to all here. I make these by hand from a flat sheet of the finest carbon fibre material that I can find imported from Japan which has a high finish on both sides of a very hard and clear resin for maximum durability. They are reversible if damaged on the surface. The bike pictured had about 20 trials on it with no noticeable deterioration. The ones provided will be full sized as pictured but may be trimmed or tapered to a smaller or pointier end if desired if you have a belt sander and some 320 grit sandpaper to finish the edges. The pre
  3. I do not think he could get the 10 meter wall ones in the camera to give a proper perspective. These are a mix of all riders with a few famous names and faces! Great shots!
  4. Heres a great link from one of the Texas guys! Enjoy! http://www.texasoffroad.net/galleries/tria...-Rock-Creek-Nat
  5. As I recall, the youth national was started bt Ryan Young as is outlined in his video and each day is in itself its own mini national. The fact that Bill is doing the same on the left coast is great and helps make an event like that more accessable to all. The objective is for the kids to have some fun and learn. The other activities are maybe just as important as riding. I think the actual competition was meant to be secondary and that should be kept in mind, but the experience when a few of the kids get together just riding and playing around and following each other has benefits that are tenfold, specially when you have someone there teaching new skills and mentoring the kids. Maybe Mich could help too! This combined with the regular US NATC series gives no less than three levels now of competition with the HS and JR classes included.
  6. I would like to add a few observations to Craigs report, very briefly. Brent was a powerhouse on the Mont. all weekend! Nice to hear him "let it rip" on the BIG sections! If you think you need a big bore kit--- think again!, just Open That Puppy UP! Bruce had a great day on Sunday with another WIN! Congrats! Young Patrick Smage showed his medal with some great rides in the pro class! This kid is TOUGH! Will Ibsen's win on Sunday will bolster his confidence even more! Taking the expert class is GREAT! GO WILL! The TX kids beat out the CA kids again for the weekend! Im sure that MichLin will have some excuse. Those kids in HS class can out ride 90 % of everyone out there! WHO WON? See ya!

    Sherco 07

It is roumoured that the '07 Sherco will have a titanium frame and magnesiun motor and swingarm and be 3 kilos lighter than the Raga replica. START SAVING NOW!
  8. enough to let the clutch out on flat ground without stalling the motor!
  9. I understand that there is a bloke in England that will build you a NEW Majesty 200 any way you want it! I liked the pics of the Kondy that were posted recently. Wish they would do something with the 200 motor! And at a reasonable price!
  10. I do, pm me with your e-mail address and I will send a piccy!
  11. It was Bruce's day today! I'm sure Craig will have a full report!
  12. To me the Gassers feel a bit stiffer in the springs and lacking in the dampening as compared to the Sherco. This quickness and stiffness works great for some, especially if your last name is RAGA, but it does not work well for me as an OLD FART club rider! The new Sherco has a quicker rear shock as well which helps in hopping the rear wheel and the front springs seem a bit stiffer which is what "to me " gives it a bit more of the Gas Gas similarity but with a smoother motor on the bottom. But in my class of rider, which is normally SR amature, I have found that the slower and more stable approach usually works best. Lets face facts, I cannot live up to the bikes potential as it is! Dustin Allen frrom KS just won the Sportsman Class in the AZ nationals as I recall. Last time I seen his bike, it was a "well worn" '01 model. He manages just fine and does not have a lot of money to spend on a new bike. Go figure! Again, just my blog!
  13. Craig, I just found out that they probably have an internet connection right there on the site. May be one of those satellite thingies! Hello CRAIG are you out there! Earth calling Craig! Come in Craig! There ARE internet Okies! Craig, are you out there! Come in PLEASE! Oh well, I guess I'll have to tell him when he gets there! I hope he does not spend a lot of money on a hotel a long ways off just so he can "hook up"!
  14. I liked playing around on one of the 4RT's a while back. Just think, you can get a new one all tricked out with that Mitani stuff for less than ten grand!HA! I really don't want to do any bike bashing here, but I do still like the lighter front end of the Sherco without feeling like im riding a pogo stick, which is the feeling those gassers give me! Not sure the exact year of your bike, but the '05 is really nice as the latest of that generation and the '06 seem even better to me! I'll see Louise and Alex this weekend and steal a ride! Cheers,
  15. Ok, I'm in and will pay money to see this! Sendero, why do you think the stick needs to be on his leg? Tape the friggin stick to the seat, he will not DARE move them knees!
  16. I think you got my points on all accounts! As all the bikes are very good, I am still very comfortable on the Sherco from last year and will probably trade up when able. Where did you find an '06 2.5 to ride , as most of the new bikes brought in have been 2.9's? And "TISH" is the Oklahoma National event this coming weekend in Tishamingo! Cheers! MC
  17. More depressing news for Mich Lin! Looke like the Mizell Trials Machine from TEXAS managed to kick butt on the CA kids in the first round of the venerable HS class with a 2,4 finish as compared to a 5,6 for CA's best kids. The tables turned in rd 2 with the 4 and 6 spots going to CA vs a 5 and 9 finish for TX. Not sure about the series points, but I think we came out on top! Maybe! These kids are TOUGH and riding the ES line! They ROCK! Who WON?
  18. Sorry Craig, you will need to stay in Tulsa for that! It is only about a 3 hr drive----each way!
  19. Yea Steve, I should not be so hard on you guys from the Great White North. There is a lot to be said for the scenic vistas in some of your pics. And you have a lot of good riders like yourself, Wilson, Ryan and Sean. And then there are the girls! The icing on the cake may be the fact that somewhere up there in that vast wilderness is Little Billy T.! Whithin those little size 5 boots lies a veritable cornucopia of BS! You guys are great! Hey, that reminds me, maybe I can get Danny to help MichLin find a nice Mexican girl to sponsor that wants to become an honorary US citizen. We need a good one you know, one that kinda looks like Lia or whatever her name is. Heck, we have everything else here from South Africans listed in Tennessee to New York Yankees listed in AZ! Cheers,
  20. Shut up Steve, you canooks are all pale and white looking, But so is Craig for that matter!
  21. I have FINALLY come up with eh, the answer to all of the problems with trials in the US. If Mich can find one of those illegal alien girls from Mexico that wants to be a Champion at something that PAYS PEANUTS and he can give her one of those TIGHT SPANDEX SUITS and send her to Spain where she can speak the language and get some World Round Pionts and work to help pay her own way by giving favors to the Brits and Scotts, I think we could have a contender. Is that too much to ask?
  22. Anything you do to a bike is a tradeoff in most cases. Weight vs strength and typically reliability, quickness vs stability in handling, and quickness vs smoothness in power delivery. The Sherco has a very good balance of most all characteristics and the overall package is very good as well as very competitive at the upper end of the scale with very good reliability. Some folks prefer a bit smoother, heavier and possibly even more reliable platform that works well for their style of riding. I know all too well that these folks get along quite well with their Betas, Monts and Scorpas. If you are riding a section and find yourself limited by the power of a Scorpa or even a 4RT, then maybe you need to seek something more aggressive to ride, but chances are that you would actually do better overall on a less aggressive bike as an average rider. Your ride may not be as exciting, but sometimes that is a good thing that most people do not realize and their scores actually improve drastically! The new '06 Sherco has quicker steering than previous models yet with possibly shorter stops, go figure? It actually feels a bit more like a Gasser, which is very quick and possibly less stable for an average rider! If you are worried about your steering bouncing off the stops, I am sure that they might consider a change when or if Cabestany thinks it to be an issue. Untill then, you may want to consider your riding style once again as you will seldom see any top riders come near the stops. Go figure again! Did I mention that most Euro riders prefer the 2.0's and 2.5's as compared to the 2.8's 2.9's and 3.0's, again, go figure! It is just personal preferance and after coming off of TWO 2.9's I have found I really like my "05 2.5 with a bit less arm jerking torque, but that is just me. My Blog! MC ps- hope you make OK at Tish!
  23. 80:1 here, Maxima or Yamalube 2-R
  24. Andy, You would have to include Craig. It could be the Beav's Bull and Craig's Crap Column. Al B. could be the moderator!
  25. Geoff just kicks butt, you cannot help but respect the guy. And based on the Pro scores, those were not easy sections. Cody had a pretty darned good weekend, keep it up boy! MC
