  1. its a 201 i think, the engine and the frame both say FM350 on them. it is a mono shock rear with a disc up front and a drum at the back. the engine is 156cc and forward kick. i emailed ABE about fork tubes and they said a re chrome for one stanchion would be

  2. what fantic is it? If its a twinshock then the forks off a SWM are same. All Fantic forks are made by Marazochi. The early mono forks are the same except for disc brackets.

  3. Not much chance of making the ferry unless your No. 200+ and one of the main parts of the Manx is the presentation and social side. Book the Monday ferry and they will let you go on reserve for any earlier ferry.

  4. Thanks Fella's ! What do you think of the 300 seat, run it or put on the stocker ? Any mod's to this bike or things to keep an eye on ?

    Gary

Stick with the 300 seat it looks well,Modifying anthing know though would cause another repaint, e.g chopping steering lock off, tool box bracket off. A GRP tank would make it possibly better if thats possible. It just depends if you want it original or trick?

  5. The 1973 event was held on Rooley Moor. I am editing some cine film taken at the event. Can anyone tellme which team won?

Thank you from Dot Jones. PS I have cine film from the 1966 and 1975 SSDT the Scott 1974 Manx 2 day 1973 and lots of Cheshire Centre events.

Dot would you have any clips of my dad (Ivor Smart) in those events?

    Paul smart

  6. When you get them apart, you could weld a M10 rod coupler (long nut) on the top of the dampner. This will allow you to hold the dampner tight when you tighten and then undo in the future.

  7. What alloy kickstarter are you wishing to fit? If its from Fantic's watercooled Section Model then its a straight swop. If it's one of the aftermaket kickstarters it wont as they are for the Minerelli motor.

Its off a section going onto a 200 pro. Splines are knackered on kickstart but lever is good so may see if I can get new knuckle.

  8. Hi,

Does anyone have a picture of the chain tensioner and where it attaches to the frame?

    Cheers

I haven't got ant pics to hand but there should be a lug on the swing arm, probably bent. I welded an extra lug on mine so tensioner in sandwiched between two lugs not just hanging of one. Will try and get a photo for you if needed.

  9. I have stripped the carb and blown it clean with a compressor, changed jets making no difference, and it runs and picks up great. Think it will have to be a new dell carb.

    Thanks for replys

  10. I've had a problem for a while now with my 200 not ticking over, tried the obvious screwing in tick over screw! It runs mint but does not like ticking over. I've tried a different carb and it will tick over fine, so you would think the carb is worn. But even using slide and needle from worn carb will still tick over in the different carb.

    Possibly worn body then?

Which is best oko or standard dellortro. Any body tried the cheaper oko carbs off flebay?

  11. Hi Lee I will try and sort a pic out tommorow I just cut original mounts off, flush with frame then welded new brackets about 10mm back and 5mm down.

I dont get the idea of having your footrest at the same level as the skid plate, reason being when your riding your feet will occasionally be below skid plate e.g If riding over a log your toes are going to get trapped arent they? Or am I looking at this wrong?
