low coil on stator plate you can get replacements from bill pye,you can check the measurenent with a volt meter should read approx 475 ohm, if i remember right dissconect green wire from coil and measure between this and earth this cured my fantic 303 OR on my 307 it was the pick up on the stator

Thanks for the replys, only had the bike 3 weeks got him it for christmas.Took it back today,there going to sort it,they suspect cdi unit.Interested to read what scorpa3 said. I think i might look at replacing the electrics with non beta ones, i dont want to see the dissapointment on his face again if there that unreliable.Obviously they wont do that on the warranty.I should have kept his fantic {ultra reliable}. just taken my son to his first trial,bike lasted 2 sections.At the start of the third it died,it will restart but only at tickover when opening throttle it just backfires and stalls.We changed plug cleaned carb, sprayed wd40 everywhere we could think of.Anyone got any ideas as to cause,does this fit stator symptoms many thanks Gary

I need a cylinder repair and replate. Has anyone found anywhere that does a good job with a quick turnround. Also would i have to supply a new piston, or would they supply. The bikes a fantic 307 so its not likely they would get one from normal sources. Ive tried a few places but most are quoting 4-6 weeks. I think the only place to get a piston from is Bill Pye, but to send the barrel there for him to send away is going to take longer and cost quite a bit more in postage alone. I live in south cumbria and theres no engineering firms within a 100 mile radius

Hi, gearbox oil 500ml, 2stroke oil 50:1 or 100ml to 5 litres of fuel, spark plug B8ES GAP 0.25 not sure on the other. I have just completely rebuilt 2 of these and parts are very expensive,if you need any more help let me know, as said i got all my parts and info from bill pye
