  1. Hi. I have had this problem on the three Betas I have had including my new 250 Evo.If after riding around with the clutch pulled in for a few minutes does not free it. You need to drain the gear box oil and remove the clutch plates. Clean them up then lightly sand them and re fit. Put in 425ml of ATF then try it. Please dont let this put you off the bike as they are brilliant when the clutch is sorted.

  2. Hi Mike. Thank you for your kind comments, Im glad you enjoyed your ride in the Manx Classic week end trial. As Clerk of course for Saturday I will pass on your comments to the team. Feed back is always welcome and comments are always discussed among the team whether positive or negative! I am glad to say we don't have many negative ones. I have ridden in both the modern and classic two day trials too and much prefer the Classic as there is less queing a much better craic and the bikes are far nicer to look at and the noise they make is awesome.. Thanks for coming and look forward to seeing you next year.

  3. Hi you are right numbers are limited to 50 twinshocks. I suggest you get your mates entries, and send them in together.

Keep checking the Manx Trials Club Website. They will be out late Jan. Entry is usually full within two weeks.!

It is well worth the effort though. Feed back from riders is the best twinshock trial they have ridden.

    Cheers Paul ansermoz

  4. HI i bought my son a 2007 250 sherco he absolutely loves it ! It has brought his riding on and his confidence no end. I have ridden it and it does feel better than his 250 Beta we traded in. more go and easier to flick and hop around (his words not mine.) If you fancy one just buy it I don't think anyone makes a bad bike these days.

    cheers Azz

  5. Yea. i ordered mine before christmas took over a month and they told me they had stock!!

worth the wait though. I have fitted a mitani full system runs and sounds terrific ! a little louder than normal but a much sweeter sound. No plug fouling and starts easy. I havent stalled it yet either. Done two trials on it and had two second places.

  6. I had an 05 4rt had 07 for two weeks I thought the brakes were weak at first but they are much improved now. My son has an 07 250 sherco he says my brakes are better than his!! I run a 46 tooth rear as the four stroke pulls gears for ever but trying out sprockets is the best way.

  7. Hi Moulder I picked up my new 4rt last week after I enjoyed a few trials on an 05 model.

first impressions were the clutch is much better and the throttle response is much smoother off the bottom.

Don't judge the bike after one or two rides. They seem to take a lot of running in. Mine has just started idling smoothly and starting easily after 5 hours use!! Any one else find if you stall it it's hard to start. But if you gently ease the kick start over with the throttle open a few times then start as normal it goes first kick.

Am thinking of a mitani full exhaust system. any one tried one?

  8. Hi Ashbabble i find Talon a good source for chains and sprockets also spokes and such. As for a manual for your Beta i dont think one was produced. The only trials bike I got a manual with was my 05 Montesa 4 rt. and that was about an inch thick!!

  9. Hi I have a pair of these fitted to my Seeley Honda. The valve on the top is not for air it is for nitrogen! The gas is put in when they are manufactured. I know this as I phoned the manufacturers with the same question.

You can contact them on:01929 554545

hope I have been of some help

  10. Hi.

I have one of these lovely little trials bikes. I use mine here on the Isle Of Man in our very active trials centre. From what I can gather Colin Seeley built the frames, as the sticker on my tank states "for Honda UK" and his brother Richard Seeley built the engines and gave them his own engine numbers. Mine has Marzocchi forks. The fork clamps. I can't decide if these were made by Seeley or are Marzocchi too. The rest of the bike appears to be Honda TL. Ie the hubs and brake shoes. I love the hand made appearance of the air box and beautiful ally tank under the fibreglass seat / tank unit. (although the work is excellent) It is so typically british and each bike must have taken forever to manufacture, and must have cost a fortune when new!

  11. Hi.

My Seeley 200 Honda at the last trial on Sunday was running roughly when I revved it hard to climb a hill. It was so bad I fived the section 3 times !!

Other than this problem the bike starts easy and pulls well at low / mid revs. Ant idea? Has anyone run a different carb ?

Hope you can help as I love this little bike

    Cheers Azzy.
