    Bsa C15

Cheers Mate, That's what I wanted to know. I shall collect the bike, sell on the parts and put the money towards something more suitable. As they say you can't polish a t*rd. Best Regards Graeme

    Bsa C15

Thanks for your responses guys, points taken. The bike is lying in a garage which is to be demolished so I'm going to collect it anyway and decide from there. I appreciate there will be alot of work and expense in any conversion but was wondering if ,in your opinion the C15 is worth the effort or would another machine be a better bet and result in a better trials bike? Regards Graeme

    Bsa C15

I have the chance of a BSA C15 in road trim, are they relatively easy to convert for pre65 trials? When converted are they any good or are special frame kits etc required to make them competative?. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated as when these bikes were manufactured I wasn't even born!! Thanks
  4. Hi,have you made sure that there is a little free play on the brake rod that pushes the piston in your rear brake master cylinder (this adjustment is important as it ensures that the piston is returning fully thus uncovering the port that allows fluid in to the cylinder and sometimes you have to back flush the system by pushing back the pistons into the caliper which will displace the fluid (and air ) back into the reservoir. Also check the banjo bolts are tight.
  5. I would advise against buying anything bigger than a 200cc to begin with or you'll end up fighting the bike and the terrain!! The small Betas are lovely to ride and will flatter you! Regards

  7. Thanks for the results, my boots are ok but my footpeg is a strange shape after hanging the bike on one of the rocksteps, really enjoyable trial though!!
  8. Does anyone have a copy of the results for the LMCC Fintry trial held on the 09/09/2007. Cheers

  11. Does anybody know of or heard of any failures on re-wound stators?
  12. I don't think the exact cause of the stator failures has been established, therefore replacing the gasket may not make any difference. The most likely cause of failures is material or manufacturing defects because in my experience water does not cause a continuity failure in the middle of a winding.

    Suspension

I think its down to personal preference, I got my Rev3 a year ago and haven't even touched the suspension. I would doubt if a beginner would notice any difference, however someone may correct me!!
  14. The stator often breaks down under load therefore it is difficult to offer specific readings, it is worth checking that the kill switch is ok and not providing an inadvertant path to earth. But it is most likely that you will have to part with
  15. My 05 Beta 250 is now on its 3rd stator, the first was replaced late 05 with the "new" improved stator with the yellow band. This stator was supposedly manufactured to a new spec or by another company but it failed last week. Mr Lampkin was happy to supply a new one but wanted
