  1. correct me if i'm wrong but aren't all tyres legal where the studs widths are bigger than the spaces between them
  2. i had one of these for a few years. the throttle reponse on mine was the same, not sure if it was suposed to do it but it never let me down. i never trialed it so it wasnt such a problem for me but i think its normal on those.
  3. also i know where bonsal quarry is but ronsall quarry dosn't appear on the maps will there be any flags or anything to follow from bonsall.
  4. im hoping to have a nosey at this trial tomorrow but i wondered if its still on concidering the f&m. does anyone know?
  5. what ever you do dont get the non turbo version. i had one as a works vehicle and it was uber slow and thus used more juice trying to make it move. the turbo one seems ok tho. if you use the sliding doors often you'll find the plastic aligning thingys wear down causing the door to slightly open above 67mph causing lots of noise and slows you down. also if you get a relay the clutch pedal usually snaps on the motorway at 90000 miles. every van has its problems of course. space wise you should be fine with 2 bikes. ive now got a vivaro and its spot on but ive no idea of the price differences.
  6. thanks for all your help, looking forward to my first trial tho not sure when yet
  7. yea cheers, ive just been out and got the paper. my only question is it says 4pm and then CLOSE 30 mins to start. i presume that means booking in ends 30 mins before start but whats the 4 pm for as previous posts suggest to be there for 10am.
  8. thanks eiger. the bad news is i doubt i can make it as ive got to be at home for 12. i believe there is a trial on the sunday as well but i cant for the life of me find any info. where do you guys get dates, directions, info on upcoming trials etc.

  10. thanks mate. im hoping to get to a trial next weekend to have a nosey at some bikes so i'll be asking some questions.
  11. hi im after a bike for trialing. ive owned a ty250 for years but its beyond competing now. plus my cousin has now decided he wants to use his beta rather than lend it to me. i want to compete, does age determine what cc you ride like mx (im 22), im looking for 2nd hand as my budget is around 1500. which makes are the best for available parts and reliability. thanks
  12. thanks for all your help. ive just printed off the acu aplication form so i shall take that with me when i go to watch a trial. ive noticed there is a club in mansfield (maun trials) so i look forward to speaking to the pro's. the suggested clubs above dont seem to have web site so i shall buy a copy of t&mx to see when theyre meeting. thanks again.
  13. thanks for all the info guys. so correct me if i'm wrong, to compete anywhere i need an acu license ( i presume this is public liability insurance). i think ill pop down to watch a trial to see whats required. is there anything else that i will need except the bike, the clothing and consumables. by this i mean do you need different tyres etc.
