    'Give Away'

I did not think E bay let you do what he is suggesting he will do i.e withdraw the bike from sale after the auction has reached the end. Surely their bit about a bid being a contract works both ways... Good luck to him I think he will need it.
  4. He is getting so confused he has revised his ad 9 times in four days !!!
  5. Good news ( I hope) stripped the carb down and gave it a good blow through with compressed air and the bike started and seems to run OK. It took a bit more time to kick up but once running ran up to temperature and seemed to pick up on the throttle fine. Hopefully get out over the weekend to give it a proper try.
  6. Had a big off on my pinky the other evening ending with the bike upside down in a stream. It was not running when it entered the water and when extracted kicked up first stab. Now after cleaning and drying out it will start and run for about five mins then fluffs and dies. It will then restart and run if the choke is out. Any ideas what to check next. Have tried a new plug to no avail. Thanks
  7. Remember a few years back at a local club, a mate riding round to put start and end markers on a section marked up the day before. He turned a corner to find some poor chap hanging from a tree having decided to end it all. Don't think he was a trials rider having a bad lap .
  8. Was looking at them as I need a side stand for my pinky would they be suitable to fit on the right hand side as per the pinky?
  9. Exactly as you said all ok and looks like not a big job to put back together once parts arrive Many thanks
  10. Thanks I am not to bad with the spanners but the bike is new to me the rear wheel etc comes out every time I use the bike for cleaning so it is in a partial strip down state at the moment. The big problem is I have no manual so I did not want to remove the swinging arm unless I had to and dont want to strip it down and find lots of needle bearings all over my workshop floor... Thanks for your advice, do you know if they are needle bearings in the swinging arm? may save me time later..I will order the part when the holidays are over Quick update just gone out to workshop and removed the swinging arm in about 20 mins just got to await parts arrival then reassembly.. Luckily everything had been greased up well and I think rebuilt not long ago as everything came to bits easy enough hope it goes back together as easy...

    Pinky Help

On cleaning my bike I discovered the plastic swinging arm protector is broken. A. How crucial is it it is replaced B. How difficult a job is it. Does the swinging arm need to come out, and if so is it a major task. Thanks in advance

    Ty175 Drowned

Did the same with a Beta Techno a few years back, got it out of the water it ran for a second or two and stopped. Turned out just to be water in the electrics including the kill switch, dried it out and ran fine Good luck
  13. I have not ridden it yet I am due to do my first trial for five years in a couple of weeks time so will let you know then. I have just put a new pair of Pirelli Trials tyres on it,new pads in the front and drained the fuel to put the correct mixture in. Time will tell how good it is and how much riding technique I have forgotten ....
  14. Thanks that is what is in but was given a NGKBR8ES as a spare so was not sure which was the correct one.
