  12. thanks for comments will probably stick with tubed tyres after the replies. has anyone used the talon stainless security bolts?.
  13. update -it would just be on the rear as security bolts seem to be a pain.
  14. thinking of putting tubeless rims on a new bantam build and would be pleased to hear any comments or suggestions good or bad thanks.
  15. just finishing my 4 speed 185 cc bantam project but not sure what gearbox and rear wheel sprockets to start with, the engine has 12t primary sprocket any ideas would be most welcome.

    roadholders short or long but now very expensive and rare.triumph or bsa four bolt as b25 are popular now and just as good
  21. the reply regarding bad enginnering practice is outrageous you trained in prototype enginnering the same as myself and with 40 years in the game i see nothing wrong with that work at all.my bantam swinging arm has been extended by one inch by cutting the 5/16 flat plate where the spindle sits and welding one inch in no probs in five years.any time served welder would just laugh at that comment.you may need to heat and straighten the arm after welding though.one thing to be aware of is that a lot of people like to mig weld vertical to get a neat finish but you risk getting cold overlap doing that which will introduce a weak point.

  23. hi,nearly finished building a 4 speed big bore bantam trials bike with pvl ignition and 22mm amal mk 1 carb and could really use some advice on where to start with carb settings ie,slide needle posistion pilot jet main jet etc any advice on this subject would be very welcome. regards bikestat.
