  1. So...... What muppet came up with X-Trials as a new name for the Indoor World Trial Championships? It's not the X-Games or poxy X-Factor, this is trials riding indoors. Will the outdoor rounds be called the Outdoor X-Trials? Can't anyone come up with a name that isn't i this or X that? What do you guys think?
  2. Well.....After many months of pestering from my son I finally gave in and bought an OSET 16. What a great little bike. After 15 minutes he got the hang of using the throttle and after that there was no stopping him......apart from the batteries eventually going flat. Even the small rain shower didn't put him off!!!!! Photos to follow.
  3. Hi. I think that if someone is constantly winning the club championship at novice or intermediate level for three years in succession they should be asked to move up a level or ride for no award at the lower level to stop the trophy hunters. It may seem a bit harsh but I know of some riders that are deliberately not moving up a level because they like winning. They are stagnating in ability and frustrating other riders too.
  4. Hi. I have a question for all the Sherco owners out there. I just changed the oil in both legs of my 250 '03, but am getting conflicting opinions as to whether there should be air in the forks or not? Some say compress the forks and let all air out then tighten the bleed screws. Others say extend the forks and then tighten the bleed screws. Does anyone know for sure which is the correct method? Hope you can help. Cheers.
  5. If you read any forum about any item (Trials bikes included) you will often find more negative comments than positive. The negatives represent a small minority of the community that experience the reported problems. I ride a 250cc '03 Sherco. Yes it's got good points and bad. The good points are that mine is reliable if maintained, as with everything. The bad points are the rider!!!!!!
  6. Hi. Was wondering how well these OSET bikes wear. My son is keen to get one. You say that the one you saw got submerged and was ok. Are they really that well made. I haven't seen any in the flesh. Hope to see some at the Dirt bike show. What do you know about these little electric wonders? Any info / comments would be greatly received. PS I am jealous 'cause I didn't have one when I was that age. Had to wait 'till I was big enough to ride a TY80. It's sooooo unfair!!!!!!!!
  7. Seen these OSET bikes on the web on OSET web site and YouTube. They look sooooooooo cool. My 3 1/2 year old keeps wanting to watch the clips and wants one too. If I can convince "her that should be obeyed" then I will try to get him the 12.5 version. At least he can ride with me at practise venues. Next step will be speaking with KYTC. Watch out Jarvis my little'un is coming!!!!!!!
  8. Hi Rabie I am in the OWLS club at the moment and can usually get a ride at least twice a month. The two pieces of ground I use are ok but wondered if there was somewhere to go and pay n play. You mentioned something about Surrey / Sussex. What's the name or location of these places so I might be able to find out more about them too.
  9. Hi. Anybody got any suggestions for some good places in Kent (preferably east kent) where I can legally (if that's at all possible) practise trials riding. I have been to a few places where other riders say that nobody minds, but it would be nice to know of some other venues. Cheers.
