    4 Stroke

I still have the piston and cylinder in very good shape, that was a 2007 Caby I believe. Back then I preferred the 305 over the 290 also.

    4 Stroke

    not both, just Sherco,

try out the ST 305 also, you may be pleasantly surprised>>>
  7. you have a crack in the head near the back where the silencer is. remove head and look closely. cheers
  8. great, I am aware of the format, but if you are in awe of their skill why not allow these riders to use every skill they have. It's only a mistake if it's in the rules. simplify the rules and let these riders show their stuff. Anyway, I'm not in favour of nonstop and I see using the indoor rules basically. I know someone else posted this thought and I'm in that corner for sure. I would say that if the FIM goes too far they will see a professional promoter come in and start another series. Marketed and promoted right trials can be no different than the X-Games or any other Extreme sport that is doing very well these days. Why are they doing well, exciting and don't have old codgers lurking around saying we need to go back to the old days. We need to look to the future.
  9. to clarify, they want to eventually learn the unique skills of trials, mostly because the of the success of Graham Jarvis etc, but, they are certainly taught all the very basic skills to start with so they do have a good base. Now, the bicycle trial guys that cross over will have no use for non-stop. These guys are a natural for trials. Please don't ignore these guys. They are brilliant on their bicycles and we want them to continue to cross over. I guess my point is trials has a known unique place in the motorcycle world and more and more riders are wanting to learn these special skills, why, tell me why is the FIM wanting turn the clock back. What better highlight is to watch Toni Bou jump backward off off a ten foot wall to maneuver his way through an indoor section. The kids and riders of today are looking for everything that the X games type sports brings. let these world riders show off all their talents by not only letting them stop, but let them use every skill they have to complete a section. make it very simple for an observer to score.
  10. When I train new riders, mostly from enduro background, one of the main skills they want to learn is how to balance and hop, its just one of the unique techniques that interests riders, I agree with an earlier comment, use the indoor rules for the outdoor, lets perfect our back up, and what ever else we can think of to make trials even more unique.
  11. I totally agree with Cabestany's reflections, he makes his living from trials so he has a unique perspective, zero tolerance should be asked of the observers, that we now have a new sport at the world level, so now the riders and paying customers can decide if this is what they want.
  12. "non-stop" has a new move already!, coined the "double hop, flick, hop, triple flick" very nice, I will start tomorrow on this>>>
  13. wow, that is hard to watch, I feel for the riders and observers and paying customers,
  14. I'm 45 minutes from Toronto, I have a riding area at my place, nothing going on in Ontario between those dates as far as competition, cheers
  15. just testing the EM 5.7 electric trials bike, brilliant non-stop bike, but getting back to top riders, if the FIM regulated the competition trial bike back to something that is more mainstream (as in a seat, larger tank, etc then sales would go up for the manufacturers. The bike would not be so specialized, yes Bou would win but just maybe the sections would be more appealing to the second tear riders.

    280I Tickover Speed

is generally set to 1500 rpm, 50 to 100 either way is noticeable. cheers
  17. For North America, road legal trial bikes with tank and seats(kits) will X 4 their sales. I know this for a fact. That will put a lot of riders on trials bikes as it did in the 70's. With enduro riders now Xtraining to trials the stage is set. cheers. There only 2,500,000 views on this video. Manufacturers, take advantage of this!!! This is a trials revolution now entering the massive enduro world.
  18. hmmmm, interesting interview, I couldn't agree more, (sorry if this has already been shown on this forum)
  19. thank goodness these fantastic riders were allowed to stop long live the "skill of balance" !!!
  20. I get what your saying ___but____for sure but the future of trials is with the youth, it's more than the current crop of world class riders who have crossed over from bicycles. I had a 18 year old show up to ride last week at my riding area, he first was bopping around on his trials bicycle, then later got on his trials motorcycle. So, what riders have the FIM changed the rules for? cheers
  21. hmmm, so here is a good video of a sport that develops many cross over riders - I wonder if they would enjoy non-stop
  22. Please support our Canadian Trials Team for the 2013 Trial des Nations in France - click here for all the information and how to donate
  23. We have maps for both versions of software since Jan 2013. Neither map 11 or 15 are current.
  24. 140:1 is Ossa's recommendation to me. For the fuel, on ECO19 software there is a fuel co-efficient adjustment from 95% to 105%. On ECO17 software set the TPS at 6 to 7 deg - will do the trick. cheers
