  1. Have you been to Warden Law Karting Centre off the A690, has an off road track good for trials, plenty of people there to get advise.
  2. Hi Yes just checked myself Saturday night Live at 10pm on Eurosport2, 1.5 hrs. Mal
  3. You could always try Warden Law Karting Club, just off the A690 30mins from Gateshead, they have an off road area for quads, pit bikes and trials,
  4. The only legal place I know of in the North East is the Karting Centre at Warden law in Houghton-le-Spring. Charge is
  5. It's the weight of the bike in general, I realised after I posted that fuel and water were probaly the difference. Time for a modern bike me thinks.
  6. The biggest gripe I've got of my '02 315r is it's weight. I've weighed it at 79kg with fuel, the dry weight is supposed to be 73kg and for the life of me can't seem to work out why it's so heavy, any suggestions and tips on lightening the bike. I know there are trick parts out there but dont want to spend too much money if it is'nt going to make that much difference. Any info appreciated. Thanks.
  7. Hi Had my bike rack for over a year now and no problems. The rack mount is permanently fitted to your tow bar with lengthened bolts supplied. You just slot in the rear and front wheel rack parts when needed. Need to check your tow ball weight capacity on your vehicle is not exceeded by weight of rack and bike. Mine cost about
  8. Can anyone tell me what are the best spectator positions for the Scott, I have the map off the Ricmond Motor club website which has positions marked 1-13. cheers.
  9. I have a 315r 2002 also and had the same problem. Following advice from the forum, I bought a new set of plates from Haven Trialsport about
  10. Absolutely fantastic day, what looked impossible was made possible, credit to Jarvis and his team. Sorry but my little mont 315r just got to go, I want one of those wall climbing machines.!!!! What was good also that the clubman trials was on at the same time so there was always something to watch. What I spoilt it from a spectators point of view was that the Reeth 3 trial was on also which obviousley dragged alot more spectators away from the event. Plus there had been a big accident on A66 so there were lots of delays getting there. Hope to see more of this soon, was inspiring. Mal.
  11. Hi Does anyone have any tips on sealing the exhaust Front Pipe to the silencer (middle box) on a Mont 315r, cant seem to get at the back to create a good seal. cheers, Mal
  12. Hi Just to say I followed tips (trials central) on solving clutch drag on a Mont 315r and its has worked perectly. I only had the bike a few weeks and struggling to get neutral, bike pulling away when put in gear with clutch in, nightmare, spoiling the fun basically. So after browsing the TC pages replacing the clutch plates was what everyone was saying. I ordered some through Haven Trialsport (
  13. Bought a Montesa 315r few weeks ago and absolutely loving it, but as you do been looking on the web for info, getting to now the scene etc. I didnt realise but the company I work for TRW actualy sponsors the Future trial team, course you guys already know that!!!. Trying to get conatcts within TRW but no look so far, so are there any UK TRW people involved in this Montesa / TRW relatiosnhip. Any info appreciated. cheers, Mal
  14. Just rode my 315r for the first time yesterday, bike is spot on. Main problem when starting was as soon as I changed from Neutral to First the bike started pulling away even when clutch lever pulled in fully. Took a bit of a nack to hang on and get going. So obviousley something not right or is it ?
  15. Hi new to trials, and I'm going out on my recently purchased Montesa 315R today for the first time, if I survive I'll carry on posting!! My first offer to the community is a link I came across, it's the Kickstart (remember it) 1983 Final with Peter Purves and Mick Andrews, I suppose this is what got me interested in trials years ago and finally 25 years on I've finally bought a bike, must be that 40's thing. 35 mins good quality and can download from google. 1983 Kickstart Final Also the originating site which has some excellent media trials footage. Good trials site for media footage. cheers, Mal PS. If links dont work here are the URL's. video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=6204885468051222934 www.r2wtrials.co.uk
