  1. Either that Kid is TOTALLY AWESOME!! or Bou's abilities have dropped dramatically in the past few hours.
  2. So when the top 3-6 superhuman riders retire/move on to Extreme Enduro then the World Trials can return to a more "human" difficulty that would appear that anyone has a chance to ride the sections and would make many bench racers happy.
  3. Jimmie, You have no idea how glad I am that you have somebody else to blame for the Zippy-Ties advice, (The friend from work) It does sound like you are not too upset about it, and just trying to help others remember to use "size appropriate" Zippy-Ties. I guess it is like using Loc-Tite, Blue = tight pain in the butt to remove bolt, but it will come out .... eventually, Red = never gonna get that $%^&&* ing bolt out, might as well have welded that %$%^^%$ ing thing. If I ever get to have the time and $$ for a trip out that way I will take you up on the offer of beer and riding (riding was implied/assumed). You are welcome to join us at any of the MOTA events we have. (there is a 2 day in Indiana, would be a little closer ) About the I understand the reasoning for Foster's Large can = more beer. I use a similiar method of purchase. Miller Genuine Draft 20 pack bottles, just a hair more $$ than the 12 pack. I get more beer cheaper and I get to have the feeling of holding and lifting multiple bottles. But my ALL TIME FAVORITE BEER IS: ................... FREE!!! OK back to doing stuff to GasGas bikes.
  4. Mr Neutron, We here at Zippy-Ties incorporated (not a real company) are saddened to hear about the damage that occurred to your property. Although this was an unfortunate event maybe some good can come of it. We at Zippy-Ties Inc. are launching a new advertising campaign in Spring of 2014: "Our plastic binding strips are strong as Steel!" And we would like to use your story as one of the events to support our campaign. In return for using your story/photos we at Zippy-Ties Inc. are prepared to offer compensation in the form of not one but at least TWO beers. (In the event that beer is not acceptable we will offer a replacement payment of two soda pops or "Gatorade") This compensation will be paid at some future time when/if we meet you in person at an outdoor off-road amateur motorcycle event. (Again, this is not a real company, this is for entertainment purposes only) Jimmie, I don't know for sure if I was the " well meaning friend" but I know I have touted the use of zip-ties for holding rear fenders, on this site and in regular life. The zip-ties have always broken first for me instead of the fender/air box. I probably would have done the same as you with drilling holes and adding more zip-ties after that little lip started to come off. Maybe I have been just lucky so far, but I will remember to use/recommend small zip-ties. Even though this next statement will do nothing for your air box/fender or your time and effort in it's repair I feel I must type this: "I am sorry if my advice may have in any way had a hand in your airbox breakage." And the offer of 2 beers will stand if I meet you at an event or such outing.

    2014 Montesa?

So Nigel has posted a link or spamming dealer trying to tout his wares for free?
  6. That was a good vid with some good riders. OK on the beer to bouncy house ratio. The key is to stop bouncing just prior to the hurling.
  7. How's this for a response: Or is that a 1500cc 2stroke (don't see any valves) cylinder? Ace Ventura with Cannibal Corpse (just a bit of fun and animal noises) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6anoJrvKXMM
  8. I WANT A BOUNCY HOUSE AT OUR NEXT EVENT!!
  9. I don't think "sharp" is generally used when describing my mental factulties. Now smarta*** that I have heard many times. Good luck at the trial, have FUN!!!! (does always seem more fun if riding "well") I only notice because I also am Boorish and Rude!!!!! (just try to cover it up) :boobies:
  10. I was given muscle relaxers once, the doc said I should be able to go to work while on them. The prescription was twice a day. I took one pill and felt myself melt into my chair. 12 hours later I woke up. hmmm don't think I would be able to work or do anything if I took those every 12 hours.
  11. I have had pneumonia, one lung filling up with fluid/infection, bottom 1/3 full. It is not as much fun as it is advertised. I now understand how people died from it before antibiotics and how immune compromised people still die from it today. (scared me a tad bit)
  12. You Sir, are very boorish and rude! I would NEVER talk about a lady in that manner!
  13. And my throttle hand in the front pocket of my shorts!!!
  14. Biffsgasgas installed his in the stock location, left side next to clutch master cylinder, and wears the strap on his wrist. A fun trick is to take the magnet attached to the lanyard and bring it sideways to the magnet on the handlebar. When you get close the magnet will circle the one on the handlebar. Simple things amuse me.
  15. Jimmie, Great!! that you're back to riding. You will LOVE that V-Mar carb adapter. I got one a few weeks ago and it makes airbox re-install SO much easier, makes such a more positive connection, I wish the bikes came with those things stock. I was able to install the adapter on the carb with the carb on the bike, but it would have been easier with the carb off. There are 3 small set screws that hold the adapter on, if you orient them just right you can get an allen wrench in there to tighten them. Function over Fashion everytime, actually the plastic welding doesn't look bad. There is only so much that can be done and will never look like new..........unless you spend the $$$ on new.
  16. Twisted my ankle, the doc looks at my sons and says "ya wanna hear dad scream?" and starts poking my ankle...........*******
  17. The two main things from this video you MUST master are : 1. Somehow obtain many many spectators 2. Backflip!!
  18. Yep get the basics mastered and it will help with the advanced. I find hops has a positive effect on the amount of courage I have, but conversely has a negative effect on my riding ability.
  19. SUCCESS! you did not get a 5!! and put on a good show! too bad you got hurt though.
  20. depending on ability, just riding figure 8's tighter and tighter and slower and slower can be very helpful for balance and control. Logs if you can get them and have room to set up. take a piece of 2x4 lumber and ride the length of it, this will help with balance and maintaining a straight line. Nose wheelies------because they are fun and look cool. also when you go over the bars it helps you "crash correctly". Let your imagination run wild.
  21. I am guessing the story starts out with "So, there I was......"
