Having looked at some more photo's I now think it could be a whitlock/gollner swinging arm can anyone confirm this?

I have an ossa with frame no B-700099 which according to some notes I have is a '79 model (not sure where I got the info from originally) It has an all green MAR style ally tank with big ossa lettering, will dig out the box with the rest of my info on that bike and post again if anything usefull AMO

Does anyone know the origins of this swinging arm? I think its an aftermarket item as it weighs a lot less than a standard mk1 and mk2 mar swinging arm, is brazed instead of welded and is approx 60mm longer than a standard swinging arm Its currently on my '76 mar but cant find a photo of another bike with one

Sounds like great news to me!! Don't want to sound negative but... I'm surprised about the 'new' classic replica, is there really a big enough market for them? Even if they have bought the old tooling etc, I just cant see them selling a lot of them AMO

Hi Woody & Dave It looks like I'm going to have to go down the welding route... Frame still has ball type at the moment, I'm putting some taper rollers in, 30204 is the size 30204 = 47 o/d, 20 i/d 15.25 deep 30205 = 52 o/d, 25 i/d 16.25 deep Do you know if all the mar models used the same size? or have i got an odd size headstock?

How can I get the outer case of the old bearing out of the headstock? There is no 'edge' to knock against as the headstock tube flares out to accept the bearing, so the headstock tube is slightly smaller than the case. Is welding a piece of steel to the bearing case so that I can tap it out or pull it out the only way, or is there a special tool to do the job? Thanks, AMO

Hi oggy132 I've been thinking of doing the same thing myself (i'm a sheet metal worker) but been to busy at work lately I've got 6 MAR's but only 2 middle exhaust sections and would probably need to cut 1 open to check how much baffling is in there to copy it, hoping to get on with it soon. But may be interested in buying a couple if their a nice job and sensible money.
