  1. YOU are 100% correct but sometimes that talent needs to be steered in the wright direction. Not everyone has a Ex world champion as a father.
  2. As far as i know, last year there were eight girls in the ACU trials acadamy, and just four lads, somethink not quite right there. They all get there traveling expences to the training as well. When will the F***in A.C.U. realise that those of us who are into trials for the love of it and not just the money, would cladly take are kids to Steve for a days training for free if we had the chance. I agree that Steve should be aloud to run the training program as he see's fit, and not with one hand tide behind his back.
  3. Michael is out of youth trials, and need's to get into the UK top 10 this year to be on track. But i think he should be signed up to the T.T.T. Beta team because he is definately a winner.
  4. While Dougie still has a chance of winning another world championship, time is not on his side. So who do you think could be the next British world champion, who has that extra somethink that makes him stand out. Here is my list, agree or disagree. 1 Sam Haslem 2 Alex Wigg 3 Ross Danby 4 Jack Challoner 5 Jonathan Richardson 6 Nigel Crellin 7 Ben morphet 8 Jake Evens-Luter 9 Chris Stay....Sorry 10 Lee sealey
  5. So will it be the best riders that turn up, or the one's that can afford to go, who will pick the teams? Maybe the riders could put themselfs on Ebay and ride for the highest bidding centre. How could thay discribe themselfs on Ebay?
  6. Have heard that the southern center will not be sending a team to this years inter center team trial due to lack of money. Anyone know if this is true.
  7. Sam is a better rider than Alex is some way's, but Alex is younger. The next two years will see if thay are world class, Dougie was'nt that good as a youth rider, but then look what happened. The danger with Alex is that he is to good to young and may burn out, but the wright people are behind him to stop this happening. Both Sam & Alex can be world class, it's just down to then,if thay want it badly enough thay can get there, it's up to them.
  8. We all know that Wiggy should have got this award, all i was saying saw that if it had to go to a woman it should have been Katy for her (effort) in the Scott. We all know that Maria is the best female rider in the country but she did'nt complete the season, and she dont ride in the British championship. I think the award is for outstanding performance, not how good a rider you are. Anyway Wiggy is just 15 and has aready beaten Dabill at least once, Antoni Bou is younger than Dabill and is one of the top ten riders in the world. Who cares i think that anyone who spends as much time and effort to get to the level of these people should all get an award, im shore James would rather have his two year contract with T.T.T. than another bit of meaningless silver. Let's get real, that A.C.U. don't care about trials anyway, it's all road race and MX. If you go to the European, or world trials, Spain & Italy give mass support to there riders compaired to the UK. Look at the latest A.C.U. Biketalk mag, cover picture, road race. Why are there only four youth trials riders in the ACU academy and eight girls?
  9. I think Katy sunter should have won it for finishing the SSDT and the Scott, she also rode all year with a knee injury that needs a operation. Anyone who saw her pain at the end of the Scott will know that she's got more ball's than most of the male riders around today. Becky Cook came from Know were to win the British championship at her first attempt, but Know one seem's to care because she dont come from up north.Nothing against Donna, but i dont see why, maybe the ACU should let it's members have a say in who wins. Alex will have his day when he win's the world championship in 2009.
  10. Note Andy Blackmans dad (Alan Blackman) holding SEX toy in left hand.
  11. YOU may have hit the nail on the head. Antoni Bou won a indoor trial in Italy early this year. beating most of the worlds top riders. If he got a ride at Sheffield it mite upset someone. Bluziack (incorrect spelling) will not upset the star's. By the way, i think that Bou is younger than Dabell.
  12. Big up for ladies British champion Becky Cook for hav'in a go at this super tough trial. (F) the result, you had a go and that's all that matters. MAX RESPECT.
  13. Still no one has come up with a reason why Antoni Bou did'nt get a ride on his Beta, because he has beaten nearly all the worlds top riders indoors including D L. If thats not a good enough track record to get a ride what is.
  14. Still can't understand why Antoni Bou did'nt get a ride co's he would beat most of the top riders indoors. May be it's a political reason to keep him and his BETA out.
  15. How come Tadeusz Blazusiak gets a ride and not Antonia Bou who could beat the lot of them on his BETA?
  16. Antoni Bou ought to be Beta's number one rider from now on, and he should be doing the indoor world rounds. He has beaten most of the top ten riders indoors anyway including D.L. If not Antoni how about Michael Brown he rides abit like Cabestany.
  17. The 2005 Two day trial will be run by the same wild bunch that put on last years Charity trial, the arena trial and the C/D national, so expect some big changes. You will not be disapointed with the 05 event, and the arena trial will be even bigger so spread the word.
  18. The IOWMCC trial this Sunday is being run as a normal club trial, we had several proplems along the way, but everything is now being put in place for next year including the ferry sponsorship. If we expect people to come and ride on the island we have to make shore we put on somthing extra good so that thay will want to come back, we just ran out of time with this years Charity trial so sorry.A deal has been reached with RED Funnel ferries who will be sponsoring the Wight Two day trial in april, the Sammy Miller round in September and The British youth A/B and C/D rounds in October. furthermore there will be a charity indoor trial on the night of the Two day trial, and a invitation youth indoor trial on the Saturday night of the A/B round with steve saunders helping as C of Course. Better to have no trial than a crap one. A. stay
  19. Thanks Dave 249 most helpfull, i have signed up for the SW centre gazette so we know whats going on. We will be trying to fit in all the trials that don't clash with the british championships, and the Y.M.S.A events that will allow C class riders to take part.
  20. Which one of the clubs recomended would you say is the most enthusiastic towards youth riders, do thay send out regular programs and which ones run the hardest trials? On the Island our youth riders ride in the class according to there ablity because there is such a hugh differance between the national class rider and the average club youth. Our lads rode in the Tiverton centre trial last weekend and won every class, and the most any of them lost was four.
  21. We come from the IOW and want to ride in S.W. centre trials next year, can anyone recomend a good club to join. Most of our lads ride in the British youth championships, and need more experiance on rocks and stream type sections. HELP.
  22. So why have we had no results from the last trial and why has know one put anythink on the Y.M.S.A. web site for months. We do a 500 mile round trip for these trials, thay are an important part of the British youth calender, tomorrows champions need trials like the Y.M.S.A. events, someone needs to take control before all is lost.
  23. Does any one know whats gone wrong with the Y.M.S.A. trials, the first one in Feb 04 had over 100 riders. But the November trial had less than 40. Thay are always excellent trials that attract the best youth riders in England so what's going wrong?
