  1. So the fact that we are making a massive effort to get this weekend covered by the media means nothing, so lets all stay at home and look after ourselfs. Sod the British championship, lets all save are time & money and wait untill our lads are old enough and spend our money riding in europe, that's the attitued. Listen all you clubs out there, don't waste your time putting on any more National trials, cos'e no ones' intersted, everyone wants to ride in Europe. why don't we just pop out on the morning of the trial and put a few sticks in the ground that should keep everyonr happy.
  2. Point taken, but how come these lads can afford to go and compete all over Europe, but not support there own domestic championship properly. We are trying to sell the indoor charity trial to sponsors, on the understanding that the best youth riders in the country will be taking part, so if they can't be bothered to turn up it make's us look a bit stupid.
  3. Having spent most of this year planing the last round of the British youth trials championships in October, we now feel bitterly disapointed to hear that some of the so called stars may not bother entering as there champiomship class's have already been decided. Well thanks very much We have got Steve Saunders to build the sections for the Saturday night indoor trial, arranged a cheep ferry rate with Red Funnel ferries, got local radio, and now TV intersted, trying to get Barry Robinson from T& MXN to do the press coverage, sold most of the sections to sponsors to raise money for the local hospice, etc etc. Our lads spend most weekends traveling to the mainland to compete in trials all over the country, so if people can't be bother to come and support us just once a year and show some appreciation for all the time and effort we are putting in to this weekend, i think it's a bloody poor show, and makes me feel why the hell should we bother in the future
  4. While on Holiday in the Algarve last week we went to the Faro M/C bike rally near Faro air port. although not a trials event it is one of the biggest motorcycle events in the world, with around 120,000 motorcycles taking part. It had everythink you could ask for, very loud rock consort that started around 10pm every evening and went on till about 4am, 24hr drinking , fun fair, erotic dancing, (real hot bitich's ) Custom bike show, side shows etc, and the ball of death, which i belive is band in England. But the most impressive stunt was the fact that some lads from Britain rode there on Honda 90 step throughs, thats about 2000 miles. Aparently it took them 11 days. Max respect to them as thay did it for charity Next year is the 25th year of this event and will be even bigger, i may have to go without the wife this time
  5. It's just a pity that T&MXN is'nt interested in youth trials,as was obvious by the lack of any mention of Abergenenny in this weeks youth colum. The talented lads in this country never get the credit they deserve. Lets all move to Spain
  6. Yes but by 2012 there time will be over, and all the good riders will come from the South, like Spain is now, Kent,Surrey, and hampshire will be then
  7. Is that old woman realy half price, what a bargin i'll have two then. By 2012 Haslam, Wigg, Sampson, Damby, etc, etc, Will be totaly dominating the world trials scene, and the south of England will the the trials centre of the world

    Beta Rev80 Wheel

I have a tubeless Gas Gas rim on a 80 hub cost a packet and not realy worth the adavatage. Some use a old Gas Gas or talon wheel but in my experiance (at British championship C class level) you would be better off with two standard tube wheels, one for practice and one for trials. The differance between a tube and tubeless wheel an't as much as those who practice hard and those who don't.
  9. So do you all think that Maria is definatly a better rider than Becky, and Becky will never beat Maria ? Don't forget that Becky is a bloody minded & very determined 18 year old, who has a very strong team behind her. Im not sure how old the other girls are. Becky Maria & Donna are all good and if Maria can stay out of trouble this year it's looking good for the TDN
  10. Spoke to Becky who was very disapointed at not getting into the top three by just two marks, but at least she knows she's up there alongside Maria etc
  11. Ladies championship 1 L Sainz SP 2 I Kramer D 3 M Conway GB 4 B Cook GB Results by phone Hope Montesa never take credit for Sainz, co's she would win on a moped
  12. Do you remeber Martin Waley (that mite be the wrong name) but he was around at the same time as Berni S ? Came to England and rode Montesa, he was world class at the time, but i can remeber beating in the National Cotswold trial. He was useless in the mud, i just wonder if this new crop of US kids are the same, co's the Brit's love the Mud. Wigg, Sampson & Haslam can turn it on in all weather, Wind rain Snow, or dry.
  13. would be interesting to see how they stand up against the european top guns, ie Mr Wigg, Halsam, Samson etc.
  14. All you lot go on as if Dougie is the last name in British trials, open your eye's take a look down the road a see what's coming. Brown, Haslam, wigg, Damby, etc, etc, we have the talent it just needs looking after. Don't panic.
  15. What about the European trial next week will you have to miss that too?
  16. Future world champion Sam Haslam had a bit of a nasty fall at last weeks world round, any one know what happend, or more importantly how he is
  17. Phone Red Funnel on 087044448898 and quote account number C1WM01 to access special rates for IOWMCC events. Lots of places to stay on the island but Chale bay farm is very popular, if not full already. Red Funnel may have a cheap package deal. The island is only 27 by 15 miles so never very far from anywere
  18. Yes Red funnel ferries will be offering discount rates for the weekend, by the way one of the sections at the indoor trial has been sponsored already 8 to go
  19. On saturday Oct 15 & sunday 16 the IOWMCC will be holding the final rounds of the British youth trials champions at Shorwell chalk pit. And on saturday evening there will be an indoor arena trial held at Brickfields horse country near Ryde IOW, with the help of Steve Saunders. and all in aid of our local hospice. If anyone who is coming to the Island for these events could help in any way, could you contact me on Alnstay@aol.com We also looking for people to do reporting and take photos for T&MXN and of course trials central We want to turn this into a sort of end of season party for the British youth trials movement so any help will be apperciated Any questions or suggestions welcome.
  20. Alan & Graham....top 10........... == 10 Ben.............. top 6 or 7.........== 7 Chris & George top 1 to 3 ......=== 4 === 21 Good enough to win ?
  21. Good trial once we found it , you would have liked it. Hot news...... Wiffin one but Jack Ayres second on 59 while Will West won Youth A on 56. Youth B....James, Graham.....Sam Ryan.....George Gosden.....Chris Stay... By the way.. I hear you in the youth team have you heard yet..
  22. You speak for everyone who ever stepped on a trials bike, and buy the way, The land lord of the pub in Hampshire did'nt know what the hell we were talking about, at 11pm last night. Never heard of ENDURO'S. Most embarising.
  23. Ok you win this round, but over the year let's see how many times Becky gets her picture in compaired to Katy, Donna. By the way it's not fair because food, Beer ,and fuel is cheaper in the North, You've got better land , bigger women, and less traffic.
  24. All this bad feeling came about because of the way Becky was treated in T&MXN last year. If a completly unknown male rider won the British championship at his first attempt it would be a major news story in the UK. She won five of the seven rounds last year and knowone seemed to care, especialy the staff at T&MXN. A lot of people in the southern centre were a bit Pi..ed off about it, she is riding better than ever so lets hope she gets respect this year
  25. He's got them co's Barry Robinsons taken them, they just won't use then co,s Becky don't come from Yorkshire. We in the south feel that people like Beck's are a bit of a nusence to Mr John Dickinson. She sort of upset's the north'an apple cart.
