  1. 1 Becky cook 8 2 Donna Fox 18 3 Katy sunter 32 And i bet T&MXN will have a photo of Katy, Donna, or anyone who lives north of Sheffield.
  2. D class L Sealy C class Sheppard saldler Hancock Luter Gosden stay ( 80cc ) B class Richardson Challoner A 125 Wigg 250 Haslam Samson
  3. This is reality....Will West came fifth in last years B classs 250 championship, and now because of his age he has to ride the A course. After three rounds of this years championship he has decided that he is in his own words ( crap ) and decided not to ride in any more nationals after Matlock. If he could ride in a lower class that suited his ability he would still be keen to ride. At the C/D class nationals, i've seen 15/16 year old lads riding the D route and finding that hard work, i feel shore that the present system dicorages some lads from riding the nationals,== a lot of time and effort from the organising club for about 40 riders
  4. Once a rider qualified to ride in the main championship he would'nt need to ride in the Novice/ beginner trials again. He/she would simply be given a ACU licence number that would automaticly tell the organisers of the championship trial, that the rider has qualified to ride in the event
  5. Easy, call the class's youth... expert, inter, novice and beginer. only have two championship class,s......Expert & inter. use novice & beginer trials to qualify to ride in championships. have say 10 national novice & beginer trials all over country through the year. top 3 beginer's from each trial go up to novice at the next event. Top 3 novice's from each trial qualify to ride in the British inter championship the following year. No age limits.
  6. So you think the same of the Surrey C & D National? No it's different for kids, adults can handle harder sections. The British championships should be the next stage down from Europe, not the next stage down from a club trial. Donna, Katy, and Becky will be riding against the best in the world later this year, how has todays trial helped then? In the C/D national several kids had bikes land on them while the top lads lost less than 20. Benny and his team did a bloody good job, but the top three in 125 & 80 C class seem top be so good that it makes his task very difficult. But all good for the future of British trials.
  7. Your right but top lads under 20 while some kids over 150, About time the ACU had a youth trials league like football. no age limit but graded on ability
  8. Well done Benny and the team, good trial. Problem..Hugh gap between front runners and the average kids. Difficult for C of Course. Results 125 1 Jack Sheppard.................2 2 Richard Sadler..................3 3 Kelan Hancock.................9 80cc 1 George Gosden................7 2 Jake evans Luter..............15 3 Chris Stay.........................17 D class 1 Lee Sealy 2 ?
  9. For a British championship, much to easy. Winner should be on around 20.
  10. Ringo.... If you can't take it don't give it. This posting was about how much time people spent practiceing (on there trials bikes) every week, not how long they spent drinking in there garages every night. Looking at the time of your postings you an't from England, and hay... I'am a motor mechanic/ recovery operator, who started riding trials back in 1969 and now spends most of my spare time helping all the youth riders from the IOW to try and do well in the nationals. So i think your the one who should loose'n up, co'us i got friends all over England , from the loosers up to the LAMPKINS, and from the suckers to the Saunders, so smile and get a life
  11. Ringo do you ever wake up in hospital, the nearest police station or just the garage floor? Obviously a compleat P**s head
  12. With the lighter evenings now upon us, i wonder how often do people practise every week? We usualy go out between two and four times in the week, starting around 6.45pm and go home when its to dark to see. Some times in the summer we don't leave untill 10.20. If there isn't a trial we would do about 4 hrs on Sat & Sunday, our lads practise hard, we have catchers, and reqular trips to the hospital. We are lucky enough to have lots of lads with simular abilitys in our area, and this makes practise so much more interesting Sam Conner told us the top boys do about 2hr per day.
  13. Full results will be sent, shed load of photos.. phone John Swaffield on 01983840515. What did you think of the trial ?

  15. Maybe the lunatics can be removed from the asylum on May 5th
  16. You know thats not such a bad idea, any where in northern Spain would be nice, at least we would be in a nation that loves trials, instead of one where everyone seems to be against any fourm of off road motorsport on two wheels. Lets all take up Darts and snooker and then one day at least we mite have some hope of our sport making the Olympics.
  17. The main problem with this veune is the fact that it's 300miles to far north. If we lived near we would be there every evening to.
  18. Aimed at know one, it's just that the place looks well used, old sections everywhere.
  19. Just got back from Scarbrough, cought 9pm ferry with 5 mins to spare, bloody good trial, but you can tell the local lads ride there all the time.
  20. I tried a Dunlop once, but i never even got the wheel in the bike. The bloody thing would not come out on the rim, i tried and tried, letting the pressure in and out of the tyre. Plenty of wax and heat but still it would'nt come out. In the end i put so much air in the tyre that it exploded. luckily it flew away from me, but it did give my thumb a smack, and my ears rang for days. So stick your Dunlops were the sun don't shine
  21. Anyone coming to the Wight two day trial on April 23/24 will need to quote the following refrence number when booking with Red funnel ferries, to access the cheep rates (C1WM01). You maybe asked for your ACU club membership when you collect your tickets. The trial has all classes including Youth A/B/C and side cars, a special bounus event for the top ten riders will be held after the first days action, and cash prizes will up for grabs. So come on down for two days of fun in the sunny IOW. Further details from Sec of meeting Alan Downer on 01983825292. Or Red Funnel ferries on 0870 444 8898
