So I’ve signed up for the Scott trial this year, and can’t decide whether to use my camelback rucksack or purchase a bum bag. All I plan on carrying is a drink, energy gels, tyre plugs & tool, few bolts, couple of Allen keys, phone. What are people’s thoughts on comfort/practicality between the 2? Edit - I’ve looked at fender bags, but they don’t offer a way of carrying a drink.

This is how the front pipe is fixed to the barrel on my trs. The gap seemed a bit bigger when I got it but I’ve nipped it up a tad. Surely this can’t be right?

What's the best budget helmet with plenty of airflow? By budget I'm thinking £100 or less.

Is there much difference between evo 250’s over the years 2012-2016? I’m not talking about looks but more like power delivery/reliability etc or are they all the same?

Are there any adults out there riding trials on 125's ? I've pondered on the idea for a while now and just cant decide if it would be a good move. I'm 13 stone and ride the green course/clubmen course.

Not really any difference, not even the fit depending on what make you go for.

I know this has been asked before but I can find anything recent that helps. I'm thinking of getting a van and wondered which was the smallest that would carry a full size bike and a beta 80. I've been looking at the partner at around a 12 reg so hopefully this would fit them in?

How hard is it to fit a kill switch to a 315r? Under the tank there are two wires with connectors attached not going anywhere, one is green and the other is black and white, would these be what the switch connects to?

Probably a daft question, but are front disk guards from different makes compatible with each bike? I'm looking for something to fit a 315r!

Thanks timdog No I'm not that good either, and those packs are rather expensive! After the batteries ran out yesterday we put the bike away and I've been out this morning and turned the key on and it shows on the battery indicator on the throttle that the battery is three quarters full? Does this mean the batteries are past their best or is the charger faulty?

I have an oset 20 and the batteries only last 30 mins. I'd like to upgrade them but I'm unsure what to buy, what are the recommended upgrade choices?

I'm looking to buy some new bars for a bit of a 315 project I'm on with, but there seems to be more options than I remember from years gone by in terms of size/rise. What would be the standard rise for a trials bike? I'm talking about the old style with the crossbar.

I'm currently looking for some kids trials boots and all I seem to find is Wulfsport which look a bit chunky. Can anyone let me know what they're actually like for fitting and comfort please, or what other options there are?

I rode trials from being a young age starting on a TY80 and progressing through the youth ranks and on to bigger bikes. I'm considering getting my son into the sport but not sure what bike would be suitable? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Shame on you! There is too much of this going on - on ebay, people winning auctions then not honouring thier side of the deal, if you have any doubt you should view first. This is the reason I no longer sell on ebay.

Cheers Peter. I have just noticed that the gearbox oil is white when looking through the little glass on the casing, I suspect that this is a water pump seal problem but could this be causing a whiring noise?

I recently bought a 2008 beta 250 and im concerned about a noise coming from the engine, sounds like a ssshhhh kind of noise that gets louder as I rev the engine. I asked a few people at a trial today and a couple of them said it sounds like the mains are on the way out and others said theres nothing to worry about. I have taken the flywheel cover off and there is no play on the flywheel but when I rock it back and forth there is a slight rattle coming from behind it, is this normal? Can anybody shed any light on this before I have it stripped down.

I have just bought a Beta rev 3 with a bent brake pedal that is resting on the chain, that much that it is starting to wear through. Before I buy another one I would like to try and staighten it first. Will I be better off heating it up or just trying to bent it cold?
