had a similar problem on my 2000 rev3 would'nt start but when it run it was ok. turned out to be the cdi unit behind the head stock. check to see if you'v got a good fat spark. the stator fault causes poor running and misfiring.as for testing the coil i got readings between 0.3 ohm and 30 ohm depending where i put the probe on the earth bar. Lampkins did not have a reading for the coil. If you can't borrow bits from someone else bike to try to locate the fault,lampkins will send you the bits and return what you don't use.

i use a nikon d70 with an old 50mm f1.8 lens as this is not a digital lens the focal lenght works out about 75mm. by setting the asa high 400 or 600 i can get good shots in low light. if you use large fine format you can enlarge quite a bit so filling the frame in not that important. look around for a secondhand lens the f1.8 are not to expensive, the f1.4 are a lot more.

I've got a day light mot on my tl125. no lights were fitted no even a brake light. make sure the light switches are removed. Fit a full size number plate. a horn with a continues tone. i used a cheep push bike speedo. try to find a garage that mots classic bikes and ask them what you need,they seem to be more understanding when its comes to mots.
If its one of the older models with the thermostat at the top of the rad. then pull off the plastic cap on the right of the tank, inside you should find 2 single wire connectors a male and a female, connect these and the thermostat is short circuited and the fan should run.
does anyone know what the torque setting is for the flywheel nut on a 2000 rev 3. I,ve read some of the posts about shearing the woodruf key, now i'm worried.up till now i've just done it up very tight.
my 2000 rev 3 was running very sick back fireing coughing and spluttering.changed the plug no good. cleaned the carb much better but now when using wide throttle openings it miss fires or 4 strokes. When stripping the carb checked the air jet ( looking from filter side this is the small hole at the bottom of the carb inlet) mine is stright thro. The Mikuni VM manual shows a jet, should there be a brass jet or something in there?
