  1. Just got back from Dubai and the customs officers said "we have never seen this type of bike before!!"
  2. we are still trying! better than nowt http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/disp...ders_future.php
  3. I have a debreif booked with Bradford council about our show next week ,I will bring it up again and do my shouting bit! I am sure I will just get the usual answers but I will make alot of noise! We also made a big donation to the Lords mayor appeal jointly with Colin Appelyard motorcycles and have a local press shoot with the lord mayor on Thursday, I will make sure he knows the damage his council are causing to off road sport in Bradford and our donation ( a new bike to raffle on the showfield) or the event, that brought over 16000 tourists to Bradford would not have been possible without off road sport. I personally spent most of my weeknights and every school holiday on that moorside riding my bike, it gave me a sports carear and a business and would be a massive loss to trials round here, I am trying.
  4. if im honest I was in Majorca and couldnt be ar* sed coming home! we have promised shayne from boyzone a day out riding up at willks!! should be fun seeing a popstar having a serious go at trials!
  5. and check out Dans dancing in the middle, that is why he never pulls when we are out!!!!!!!!!
  6. Just added a new corporate page to xtremetrials.co.uk showing me and Dan riding over some case plant machines in Gemany, if im lucky Andy might make one off them link things for me again!!!!

  10. Hi all, I have printed this topic off and I will show it to my dad later tonight, I will post a reply from him if he gets time in the week as he doesnt know what a computer even looks like!!
  11. Sorry Andy! The contract only came in about 10 days ago and I put it straight up on my website! we WILL have them beers soon I promise! ( I know thats what you really want!) Crosser
  12. What a bloody good idea!! xtreme trials would be happy to donate some funds to plant some trees and thats the angle where I think you would get the most sence. practicly all of our top riders have done most of their practising there over the last 15 years it would be such a shame to lose it, in the next few months I will be spending alot of money with the local press advertising the great yorkshire bike show so I will try and sway a few reports on addingham and see if we can get a few positive stories from local editors( not promising owt but you can normally have a deal with them!) crosser
  13. Xtreme trials (Martin Crosswaite and Dan Clark) are putting together a brand new show and are looking for another commentator to work on occasional weekends (mainly summer weekends) with x-treme trials, We are looking for someone with a basic Trials knowledge but the main things are you will have to be confident in public speaking,be able to travel anywhere in the UK,have flexable working hours, have a good sence of humour, and drink like a fish!! If you think this sounds like you and you dont mind propping various bars up arround the country please email me at martin@xtremetrials.co.uk to discuss the matter further.( to view the show and see what it all about please visit xtremetrials.co.uk) Crosser
  14. Hi Guys, please keep the feedback coming, it is invaluble to us, we ARE taking all ideas on board and allready thinking of ways we can improve the event for next year, would just like to point out that commentating on a indoor trial for 3-4 hours and trying to keep everyone informed of what the hells going on aint easy, I know we may have repeated ourselves a few times but try to remember there is now a high percentage of general public attend Sheffield, we were just trying to make it as simple as possible so they could understand and keep the atmosphere as high as possible. ( looking back we may have overdone it!) A big thank-you to Andy for passing on all the feedback but please keep it coming. I believe you can never have enough. Tell us what you want ( or what will make you buy a ticket!!!) and we will try to deliver. happy new year crosser
  15. I thought it was a result, hes better looking now!!!! crosser
  16. I think we have to stop going on about trials trying to go mainstream and forget television becouse it will NEVER happen. 1- I have rode trials all my life and to be honest when I watch the world championship I carnt understand whats going on!! it is just way too complicated. What chance does a mainstream viewer have? 2- it is allmost impossible to film and would be very expensive. 3- it is not very exciting and very slow!! we will never get more than a few badly produced minutes on Eurosport becouse that is all the market demands. we have to stop looking for big companies to come in with loads of money becouse we are just flogging a dead horse, it is not a viable advert for them. For me we do have to go back! we need to try and make it possible for more riders to have a go at the top level, if I wrote a press release saying dougie had won a world championship riding against the best 80 riders in the world or dougie has won a world championship riding against the best 8 riders in the world! (what do you think is the best story and therfore the best chance of getting printed?) make trials easy to understand, and fair for all the riders. Then hopefully it will grow and more kids would become interested, we would sell more bikes and the importers/dealers/factories would make more money and be able to pass that on to the top riders, to at least give them a living form the sport there effort deserves. forget mainstream sponcership and television rights we need to grow first. crosser
  17. adsy, no wonder all that bloody granite worktops I order from you take so long, now get back to that cnc machine and stop reading these forums all day!!!! let me know when we are having a pint, it will all become clear after a couple of gallon!
  18. no stop no minders or outside assistence in any way restrict the size of the rear tyre? for me trials riding at all levels need to get back to man and machine against the terrain, I would like to see raga set off in a world championship with just a bumbag! it would make it more of a leval playing field instead of the best riders having the best bikes, most minders, best back-up, get to start at the back of the entry etc. Make it fair and im sure more riders would fancy a go. Lets get back to it been a mans spot (phillipe berlatiere, Rob Crawford, Bruno Cammozzi they didnt need a man to hold there coat, a man to do the tyre presure, a man to but the kicker in etc) At the moment on Eurosport it just looks like 8 young boys and Dougie riding round in lyrca suits surrounded by people shouting at them!! I bet the perverts are loving it! Crosser
  19. I consider moving rocks to be an art-form and is just as big a part of trials riding as riding the bike! with so little between the top riders now you have to get every advantage you can! I remember the first time I rode the s-s-d-t in 97 I waited for the observer to watch the rider through the end of the section and I bent down to lift a massive boulder out of the way, the problem was that when I got the boulder up in my arms is was too heavy,I tripped up and ended up pinned under the rock on my back in the middle of the stream! The funny thing was that the observer had to rush down the section ond lift the rock off me!! everyone was pi!s+ng themselves!!
  20. Trust me, falling out with scorpa is not very difficult! but then again I can fall out with anybody!!!!!

    Sheffield

unfortunatly graham doesnt qualify for sheffield becouse as I am sure you all know he hasnt made the list for the world championship so it is not a decicion of the organizers. There is another list of wild card riders that you are allowed to pick 2 riders from, but this list is designed by esados, and if for young up and coming riders only, both Shaun and James are on this list but Graham is not. We would love to have Graham at sheffield but as long as we are a world championship the decision is made by esados and not ourselves. Crosser
  22. A few years ago when men and motors did the "teen trials" cock-up ,me and Wayne Kershaw who was working for men and motors at the time contacted granada and asked them if they wanted any help with the programme. We beleived we had the venue, sections ( sheffield and X-treme trials) and a good front man/presenter who understands trials riding in Wayne. We were willing to work for free just becouse we belived we could make a good programme that would be good for our sport. Then to be told you lost out to an ex-gladiator and a production team that didnt even know what a trials bike looked like was a little upsetting!and sure enough it didnt do well in the ratings and was dropped. I have tried since but I carnt find a production company who is willing to have a gamble! (they do not think a tv station would buy it!)
  23. believe it or not I am looking for a security firm for the Great Yorkshire Bike Show 2006 on the 29th and 30th July, does anybody know how to get hold of B Curran? Cheers, Crosser
