You can adjust the timing and fuel freely. And yes you can take a laptop with you and adjust while your riding. If you screw up you can always go back to the default setting. There is only one guy here in Sweden who has the adjustable ECU, and he has added about 10% more fuel then default, don't know about the timing, and the bike is super smooth on low revs. I can give you more info when I get my repsol I also wonder about the 280cc bigbore kit, would be massive to ride as I always liked bigbore bikes.

I'm surprised that nobody is talking about buying the repsol. Here in Sweden you get more bang for your buck if you take the repsol. The HRC ECU (which is included in the repsol) costs more, if you buy it separately, than the money you spend extra to get the repsol instead of the standard 4rt AND you get extra carbon bits. btw my repsol replica should be here in about 3 weeks

    4rt Spark Plug

if your not riding in hot temp (30 degrees C) then a 5 is best. my bike became smoother at low revs

    Tlr 250 Suspension

nope...they are not rebuildable (it's the original ones) so where can i get my hands on a pair of new ones?

    Tlr 250 Suspension

i just bought at tlr 250 and the bike is really good BUT the suspension is very strange. the damping is ok but the rebound horribly slow, it has about half the speed up as it did down does anyone have a solution or do i have to empty my pockets and buy something new?

got me a TLR250, in real good shape except some dents in the tank for

    Tl 305

have you seen the tl 305 that is on lewisport were these bikes works or just a kit it's a shame that it's in the usa because it could be hard getting to sweden good price though $1650
  9. saw you were talking about Johnny Andersson, if i can remember right he won the US championship with a RTL. i do know he disassembled his honda into bits and packed it all in suitcases and flew to the US. i think he switched to yamaha in 87 or something because i have a video from 87 when he is practicing with my dad and then his rides a yamaha ty 350.

    Rt 4 Ristrictors

has anybody removed just one restrictor, any difference? munch? feels strange if the alternatives are all in or all out
  11. ludde

    Rt 4 Ristrictors

just to point, i have all the restrictors in plus the welded piece of pipe so i doubt someone are going to complain about myu bike

    Rt 4 Ristrictors

A little tip to everyone riding a 4rt weld a piece of pipe (about 5 cm long) to the last restrictor. make the pipe face downward about 45 degrees and it takes away alot of the noice specially for the one riding the bike. i can't say i feel any difference in power or rapidness at all. it's the last restrictor that make all the difference, had a indoor trial last weekend and with the last restrictor in the 4rt didn't sound much more than the 2 strokes. it was nice to hear something other than the 2 strokes high pitched screaming.
  13. today i tested my 4rt with the 43 rear sprocket and it's perfect, it makes the bike more powerfull and it's slow enough to ride stream sections without allmost any use of clutch. it's a strong recommendation. another thing that's great yo do is to weld a piece of pipe (about 5 cm long) to the last restrictor. make the pipe face downward about 45 degrees and it takes away alot of the noice specially for the one riding the bike. i can't say i feel any difference in power or rapidness at all. can anyone tell me what the difference the restrictors make? is it worth taking just one out or is it all in or all out? a little remark: when i rode today it was +2 degrees celsius and lots of melting snow and plenty of ice too. i rode the same sections as i did on my GasGas 321. some of the sections i had difficulty cleaning in the dry on the gasser i cleaned today with the 4rt and with ease. it's unbelievable how much traction you get from this bike.

    4rt Tickover

ok...here's a little theory: there is no battery on the 4rt, just a capacitor to even out the current flow and act as a small battery for a short time. if you turn down the tickover you should lose volts and/or amperes on the way. then maybe the capacitor doesn't get the current it needs witch could result in an uneven current flow to the rest of the components. this maybe could damage the components or at least shorten there life. this is a theory (is has many ifs) and i am no expert on electrics so don't execute me if i'm wrong

    4rt Tickover

i agree...but the engine doesn't seem to have any trouble with 1800 rpm anyone know how high the tickover is on other bikes with injection?
  16. ludde

    4rt Tickover

this is true but 2 teeth on rear sprocket at say 5000 rpm does about 250 rpm. most people gear down to get a slower bike on all revs not just at tickover, at tickover you often use clutch so not such big problem if you want the bike to be real slow use a 9 teeth front sprocket
  17. I don't think there isn't enough space to fit carb, the throttle house would to high and then you can't get the rear fender on. I heard from my dealer here in Sweden that Amos Bilbao has ridden this bike for 2 years now and no problem with the injection sys. Besides I have read a statment on Keihin's homepage that Honda are going to fit this injection sys on all there smaller motorbikes, so the sys can't be that bad
  18. the fifth gear is high and since you can rev the bike real good it should be fast enough...it's just a matter of fuel economy since you have only 2L
  19. the only place that i think the 4rt isn't equally to the 2T is in the WC. but for a clubman it is equal or even better because of it's huge amount of grip. I've watched some videos from the practice yesterday and i think i found my trouble, i just don't give it enough throttle. my dad (who had a RTL250S for 14 years) let's the poor 4rt well down below idle and the engine spits and moans but DOESN'T stall, and he says the me that i just have to give it enough throttle and would not stall, like it was the easiest thing in the world. do anyone know if any other rear wheels fit the 4rt so i don't have to buy a new 43 sprocket before i can test it instead borrow a rear wheel from somone.
  20. Picked up my 4rt yesterday and had my first ride on it today...made my first crash today too I found it a little bit difficult to drive slow on 1 gear, since the tick over is relativly high... has anyone tested the bike with the 43 rear sprocket on? is it better? otherwise the bike is great and drive almost anywere with 1 gear (standard sprocket on), would be shame to loose that
