Nope, I don't have that one. I don't have much after 1990, just some WTC reviews.

I've uploaded the whole video here. I've put it in a archive and split it in parts of 10mb each so it's easy to download.

Alkylate petrol is often used in chainsaws and lawnmovers here in Sweden. Thats because it gives much cleaner exhaust gases and is much nicer to work with as it almost doesn't smell at all.

The full movie is about 28 min long, and with a rough calculation the size of it would be about 130 mb I think. But if you ask me REALLY nice I'll see what I can do. I also have a promotion video from dunlop which features Eddy and alot of clips from the 1981 world championship, I think it's from a venue in the uk. Come to think of it I also have a video from the 1984 ssdt but it's an hour long so it's too big to upload.

We're running my dad's 05 4rt on -8% compaired to the original setting and it runs as well as before. Cleaned the plug before training and after the whole day it still looked newly cleaned, no soot at all. But it should be said that we don't use normal petrol but alkylate petrol, more info here. But I think with normal petrol you could decrease to about -3-4% without problems, it also helps starting as the 05 can be a bi**h to start some times with the normal setting.

Here's the clip on the concrete steps, the last one must be least 1.5 meters, which I think would still be pretty hard to clear for many of todays riders.

I have the whole video but it's to big to upload so I took the best part. You're right about the concrete step, it looks pretty big and I think it was when you where driving those old bikes

This tape has been laying at home for as long as I can remember. I think it's a promotion video from Honda which is called "Eddy Lejeune's incredible trials technics". The only reason I watch it is to hear the sound of the bike, it just amazing. I wish Honda would do a 360 conversion to the 4rt, I would buy it strait away. Anyway for all the Honda madmen out there, here's the video: Eddy's exhibition (it's 26mb but the server is fast) A couple of questions for the gurus When was it recorded? My guess is 1982, anyone knows? In the begining of the clip there is a bike idling with blue stripes on the tank, is this a RS250?

I had a look around at www.cmsnl.com and searched for the 4rt model code nn4 and found this: 06164-NN4-305 COTA MAPPING KIT
  10. the 290 kit sounds very interesting, but i've never heard about thumper racing. are their products any good? its a shame that the hrc 260 kit is so expensive, but you just know that it will be brilliant. is the mitani 280 kit still around? i thought they stop selling that one.

Never switched the sparkplug, been there two years now. And it works like a clock.
  12. ludde replied to windlestone's topic in Montesa
windlestone, have you checked if the radiator is packed with dust. I had a problem with that on my old gasgas 321, it was losing water but never boiled so i didn't notice it until after awhile. took the air compressor and blew through the radiator, a big clowed of dust filled the garage. never lost a drop of water after i did this regulary.

if you don't want to buy a Mitani clutch pack, there is a cheaper way. In the clutch pack there are four paper friction plates. replace those with four cork plates, the same as the outer plates in the pack. the clutch gets a little bit snappier but much better if you ask me. you could also replace the steel plates with jitsie's which makes the clutch smoother but without the drag.
  14. I have the Jitsie hanger mounted and they are really good. A bit further back which fits me perfect. But they are big bas***rds and I had to modify the bracket for the sidestand to get it to work
  15. ludde replied to neonsurge's topic in Montesa
neonsurge If you buy a 4rt you have to give yourself some time to adapt to the 4T engine. I have had one for 1 1/2 years now and now I think I'm driving better than I ever have done. In the begining it was no good at all, but now the bike does what I want it to do (almost!). What really transformed it was the Mitani exhaust system and the programable ECU, now everything just fit me perfectly.

I've got to practise on that part, I always seem to stand upright on the bike I like to use trees and branches to get some serious mudguard bending
  17. ludde replied to sir dabs alot's topic in Montesa
Don't know about that but the 06 rear mudguard has a huge sticker that covers the entire mudguard. Can you really mould plastic and get it as shiny as the 05 mudguard without painting?

I think Takumi Narita is riding one at SSDT, think I saw him on one of the pics

Finally I got the opportunity to buy my dad's old RTL back. Dad rode this one for twelve years as his only bike. It's a little reworked but it doesn't matter. Anyone else who has a Nigel Birkett brakes conversion? I have been doing a check up on everything and the only thing that is really worn is the fork springs. I saw that they had a ND9 number, so it should be hard to find new ones. Anyone who knows where I can get hold of new ones or are there any replacement or pattern parts available? I also want to save my original rear fender, are there any replacements around?
  21. ludde replied to ludde's topic in Montesa
Thanks FF!! Well the carbon cover got really hot, I could barely hold my hand on it. And it smelled burnt plastic. So I took the isolation from the original cover and shaped it and put it between the exhaust and cover. Now it doesn't get hot at all. About the dirt throwing I don't think it will be a problem, there wasn't more dirt in my boots than usual. But there may be more dirt around the air intake under the fender, haven't checked that out yet. And I haven't tested any big streams or rivers yet. The fit is perfekt, aka japanese, and I had to wiggle with it to get it lined up right at the exhaustport. Got it wrong the first time and sounded like a steam engine We have the eco-warriors here also but they don't impose the biggest problem. The problem we have is that people keep building houses near our training areas and then they complain that we disturb their peace. Fortunatly we almost always ride on saturdays, because it seems like people don't bother as much as they do on sundays. This particular area where the clips were filmed we have the huge advantage of having a highpower line running right thru the area. This means that there won't be anything built in the area. We also have permission from both the police and the local authorities to use the area for trials riding.
  22. I think I got all together now, the links should work. Videos I thought about doing a review of the exhaust system, but think it's better that you lot ask me what you want to know and I will try to answer the best I can. OOOhhh...I almost forgot. The videos with the original exhaust is with all plugs in.
  23. ludde replied to andy_290's topic in Montesa
I thought it might be that one. Was out for riding for the first time for 2,5 months today. It was a little shaky to say the least Filmed some clips that i will try to upload.
  24. ludde replied to andy_290's topic in Montesa
Anyone know what this "novice" setting is? Could be something for my old man
  25. Going to do my first real practice with the Mitani exhaust system tomorrow. Hopfully I will be able to give some feedback and I'm going to try to upload some filmclips aswell
