I would guess that the motor weighs about 4kgs (8lbs) heavier than a 2t, rest would be much the same. But it looks a big old lump not like the 4rt would like to see them side by side.

They did say we would get them February didn't they?

What American web site quoted $9000 for the SY 250f? The Montesa 4rt is around $7500 and the Sherco 3.2 is a couple of hundred dollars more. The SY price is quite high from what one would expect. :chairfall:

Any "Amercian" website you may have seen wouldn't know the price, because the US and South American Distributor doesn't know yet.

If you want the specs we do have, you can see them here:

http://www.scorpa-usa.com/ScorpaUSA/SY250F/SY250F.htm

Making unfounded statements (such as new bike prices) is always a bad plan, as there is always some goofball somewhere who picks it up, and starts spreading it around as fact.

its not all bad!my wr 450 starts fine with a kick or push of the button :chairfall:

but as ff says more parts = weight plus that engine is a screemer not torque based. so we all wait to see :chairfall:

firstly thanks for calling me a goofball :chairfall::chairfall:

and also the only yamahas ive had were the motox ones up to 400 4stroke and all started reel easy so sorry about that comment if some dont.

Hopefully there will be some internal pics/diagrams so we can see if there is much of a flywheel, on the video on another link some guy stalls it so im guessing its the same or a the rider hasnt been on many 4t bikes so wasnt used to it.

as for the price im sure if you contact the importer he may be able to help you out

Nice pic of Everts testing it on TMX Page 3 - notice the manual decompression lever on the clutch side and the size of the rear sprocket has increase IMHO. Look out SSDT rockery :chairfall:
