  1. I cannot for the life of me see how Marc Marquez could be off the podium at Brno and miss out beating the record of Giacomo Agostini, 11 straight wins. He was in the 1.55's on Saturday to take the Pole. Vale had a finger injury in a nasty crash, and still managed to stay ahead of him. Am I to believe this was just an off day for the World Champion?

    The Doctor

Vale has shown us the best come back riding in recent years. When it comes down to endurance in the final laps, it's hard to beat those 15 years between Him and Marc. Spectacular racing!
  3. I wonder if HRC Honda would have eeked out a Championship this past year without the jump on Yamaha with that seamless transmission. I've noticed the 253mph Bugatti runs the same type of gearbox. Even VRossi has said it makes a difference. Who invented it first?
  4. Nothing short of spectacular! this style of racing reminds me of King Richard Petty, racing on the inside of NASCAR, anywhere, anytime.
  5. Would anyone doubt that Marc Marquez would further his position in the MotoGP Champion ship? Many regards should be given to Bradl, Rossi, Bautista, Crutchlow, Dovi, Pedrosa, Lorenzo as well.
  6. If todays free practice is any indication what the rookie might do, 1'22.040, top of the heap, I think we're in for a good weekend.
  7. Without Jorge Lorenzo racing at Laguna Seca, and the possibility that Dani Pedrosa will not attend, will this open the door for Marc Marquez to further his lead for the Championship? Has he heard of the Cork Screw?
  8. Could there be anything more exciting than Winning the British TT Victory for 20 Times?
  9. From what I've seen, a new form of riding sytyle will be the normal, 61% lean angle requiring elbow pucks. This will be the trademark of MM 93.
  10. Welcome to the sport of Trials. I am just about the same size and can say that a 250 cc bike is just about the right size for trials and trail riding. A 250 Sherco will always serve you well
  11. Classy, and very well done.
  12. Has/does anyone plan on attending the June, 2013 race in Cardiff? Is it as exciting as it looks on TV? Just how long is that oval track? Thanks
  13. My Sherco has been like that from day one. I asked the dealer who sold it to me what I could do?. He told me to lay it over on it's side for a couple of minutes to flood the carb, a procedure I'd seen used on Husqvarna's many years ago. Problem solved, every time the temperature drops below 40F.
  14. I had the same problem with mine when I first got it. The D slide carburetor seems to be high performance oriented. I would try dropping the needle, one position at a time, If that doesn't work, try lowering the main jet size. A combination of the two worked for me.
  15. With a 125cc World, and Moto2 World Championships safely under his belt, and, after a spectacular come back from last place, In the Rain, to win Valencia! Can this teenager be very far behind to become the next MotoGP Champion of the World?
  16. I don't think so, when they went with the new frame in 2010, I think they changed the rear link. But that's just a guess.
  17. Yamaha GP points leader Jorge Lorenzo appears to be in line for another Championship Title. Current Champion, Casey Stoner has not seemed to recover fully from that broken ankle accident, and perhaps he'd like to exit his active carreer entact to enjoy the rest of his life, no blame there. Honda's Dani Pedrosa, seems to be on a winning streak and is not likely to catch up to winning the top spot, being he is 28 points behind Jorge Lorenzo. My take on the last three races is: Lorenzo will be happy to accept 20 points for each of the last three races,(2nd place), rather than submit himself to risking danger for the 25 points given to first place. Can you see anything different happening?
  18. Down is on, Horizontal is off or reserve.
  19. The purpose of the Rod side down on a gas filled shock is for the purpose of less un-sprung weight to the rear wheel and swingarm. Hope that helps.
  20. I can only speak for the 250, The 2010 has plenty of low end power and always comes on with a simple twist of power. It is particulary tractable in the bog as well. It was a good choice not to buy a more powerful engine, thinking that bigger is better. That was the advice i got from a Pro.
  21. U.S. sales of Yamaha motorbikes would seem to be paramount. With the loss of. Ben Spies and earlier Colin Edwards leaves Yamaha with sour grapes? I am at a loss to guess why Yamaha would enter the 2013 season without a U.S. competitor. Can you offer any other riders to fill the bill?
  22. I have to admit, I've only been following MotoGP for 5 or 6 years, and I dont know what went down much earlier than that, however, what i've seen happening this season between Yamaha and Ben Spies, has been awfully suspicious. First off, I want to say thanks to all of you guys who gave me a super explanation of why Dovi went (is going) to Ducati. With Ben Spies, it seems since he announced his departure with Yamaha at the end of this season, he's had nothing but bad luck and mechanical failures. The broken shock bolt at Laguna, the blown motor... The slipping clutch? Does this seem a little suspicious to you by a major manufacturer?
  23. Why would Dovi switch to Ducati? He's got 5 podiums under his belt with Tech 3 Yamaha, so far this season! He should have been chosen by Honda to pair up with Dani, given his performance so far this year. Moreover, Tech 3 should have offered him something, Then why would he take a 2 year deal with a manufacturer he is very likely to struggle with for a top 5. Why? Is it the money, or the prestige? Or something else.
  24. Crutchlow deserves more than to try to "develop" the Ducati. He'd do well to stay with Tech 3 for another year. My guess is Casey is still fuming over Valentino taking him out broad side last season, in an unnecessary and desperate attempt to prove himself.
