August 20, 200620 yr Just back from Richmond where NYL "cramped up" on final lap so failed to finish. However we believe Jack Challoner took A Class victory (nice one "JC"), and Alex Wigg came in third. Jonathan Richardson took the B class win.
August 20, 200620 yr Cramp - Doh!!!!! water - water - water I know you probably know your stuff, but i find that cramp seems to be almost entirely water problem. I hardly get cramp any more, and I'm not peak of physical fitness by any stretch of the imagination. Just make that extra effort to force water down your neck whenever you can. It's so easy to get dehydrated and it makes such a difference to the body. Probably preaching to the converted I know, but helps me.
August 20, 200620 yr Banana's have summat in them that works too, biggest selling food at the SSDT I reckon
August 20, 200620 yr Author Normally I "tank" him up using the Lucozade sports water. However we were off early this moring and he didn't drink anything on the way up. Made sure he was well watered on the trial but the cramp came in just as he dropped only the one mark on the first three sections.
August 20, 200620 yr finished my first ever british event today and thought it was awesome. sections were spot-on i didnt have a good ride as i did a trial day before which im never going to do again before a british lol. i was shattered and just pushed the bike thought last sections. well done to every one that finished and richmond mc. thanks
August 20, 200620 yr It's sort of refreshing to know the young lads are finding it hard too - they make it look so easy usually Edited August 20, 200620 yr by bikespace
August 21, 200620 yr 'Powerade' an isotonic sports drink is very good at keeping the arm pump and cramp away. Find it's better than lucozade.

Ben Morphett was on 48 with Ricky Wiggins just behind on 49. Second to fifth was very tight in "B" Class.
