World Outdoor Trial Ireland

Featured Replies

Hi,

are many people planning to come over to Newcastle Northern Ireland for the 1st & 2nd Rounds of the Outdoor World Trial?

We were toying with the idea but the ferry costs are off putting, especially when you factor in - fuel to get to ferry, hotels, eating etc etc turns into a very expensive few days.

Will now prob look at doing Andorra and Spain or Spain and France.

Noel, AKA Northern Norm, Patrick and I will be making the trip across the pond. But, we won't be traveling by ferry. With -3 degrees temperature, 7 inches of snow on the ground, not to mention the sheets of ice today, we should be prepared for the chilly weather Northern Ireland can toss our way.

Today is the first that Northern Ireland has had any sort of snow :thumbup: the gulf stream normally keeps us just that wee bit too warm. Mind you given that the first section is going to be less than 500 yards from the irish sea and about the same from the base of the Mourne Mountains, you can never predict the weather in Newcastle lol

If anyone is needing information about where to stay or getting to Donard Park, drop me a line and I will try to help out.

Oh and just a blatant attempt at building our visitors, if anyone wants to join the World Trial NI Facebook page, the address is;

Everyone is welcome :wub:

If you contact Nutt Travel on 028 7035 1199, they should be able to help you with Ferry Prices and things like that. I think Stenaline run from Liverpool to Belfast.

We're not on "high alert" now because of the IRA splinter groups ruthless murders of the pizza-man and British soldiers, are we?

Definately, taking the wife and kids too.

So, the weather question was tough, I guess? Let me try another.

Why no Albert Cabestany on the list?
