It is rather hilarious watching really old trials film footage where the comentator only uses riders initials in his comentary.

When I am filling out the results for an event, when I come accross entry forms with just an initial written in the space for the first name, I just guess the name. At least that keeps the results looking tidy!

My real hate is spelling of my surname! I always spell it right on all forms etc, but I am lucky if it gets spelt right in programes. results, award etc.

ACU even got it wrong on a championship shield two times out of three!!

I remember a national hunt jockey called Peter Ennis, I bet he always put his full first name on all forms.

Totally irrelevant to Trials, but I recall back in my early days of supporting retails systems and EPOS we had an issue selling the early 90's Album by Ce Ce Peniston. It appeared on the limited displays on the tills back then and on printed receipts as "CC Penis". It caused much hilarity and giggling to the point we refused to sort it out because the entertainment value was just too good

Two names on our work database

Mr R Don

Mrs J Cloth

Parents must of hated them?

Nice touch by the Bassenthwaite club in the Stanley Tallontire results from last weekend, for Mr Rapley's benefit in view of his dislike of using riders' initials.

Yeah, I see Nathaniel Birkett had a particularly bad day.
