October 6, 201312 yr anyone know anything about these never seen one other than in a pic , clutch case looks differnt is it a 200 with a difffernt top end
October 7, 201312 yr Cota 233? Mont made a Cota 123, 172, 200, 242, 247, 348, 349, 350, 304, 306, 307, 309, 310, 312 (first with a Honda engine), 315 and a 4RT. But no 223 AFAIK. Did I miss any Dave? If you mean a 123 (see pic) be careful. They're a good bike but designed for school boys (as youth trials was then known). They have a ropey gearbox but the real killer is tyres. They are NOT available. Edited October 7, 201312 yr by toofasttim
October 7, 201312 yr Author no i did not mean 123 this is one here not sure if they are a made up of different bikes https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/1417_309251759178986_543900607_n.jpg

October 7, 201312 yr Well that's a new one for me. The clutch cover looks like it's off a 307 or similar. Top end looks like a 200 but must be bored out. I imagine it was a kit. The 200 was a superb bike but, again, the gearbox is delicate. Apart from that it was very good with Nigel Birkett riding it with embarrassing success over Sandifords then #1 rider Malc Rathmell. Birks was told to cease and desist and give his team mate a chance. Biks didn't and was fired.
October 7, 201312 yr you missed 25 50 311 and 314 330 from what i can see Yeah I deliberately left off the 25 and 50 'cause they're toys. Very desirable toys but still toys. I should have remembered the others
October 7, 201312 yr When Honda first got involved they did some small production runs of some different cc engines. I was 13 at the time so might not be exactly the same but a foreign rider rode something like this in the 1983 ssdt. John Moffat get the programme out !
October 7, 201312 yr There are my current levels: a level 200 with 223cc kit and Portús of 330. 223 These were some cucumbers, clutch modificábamos them, we put a carburetor larger, wide triple clamps, swingarm length and a motorcycle was super fun. sorry this came off a spanish website and googles translation not great
October 8, 201312 yr Portús of 330. 223 So there we have it. A Portus kit for the Cota 200. I seem to remember that Portus passed away quite recently. These were some cucumbers, Ok, if you say so
October 8, 201312 yr don't know where the cucumber thing came from google translate version of something? anyway if you do the maths a cota 200 barrel bored to accept a standard 247 piston 72.5mm would give you 222.9 cc this could be good fun as my cota 200 is getting a bit of piston slap watch this space It appears that the 247 and 200 share the same gudgeon pin height and diameter Edited October 8, 201312 yr by paulc76
