The alum. adapter mentioned is made by V-Mar Racing, in CA. As far as I can recall, they're only made for the Dellorto carbs. I have one, bought on recommendation from Zippy. It works great!

      Like I said, go up two sizes on the pilot. If it fixes it, come summer go down one size and see how it is. Funny thing about all the jetting Gurus out there, the pilot jet flows from idle to wide open

      Since the plug is black and oily it looks as if its not lean mixture that is causing pinking. It could be carbon deposits in combustion chamber, either because they are glowing causing "pre ignition"

    Yeah iv solved that problem, still on with getting it running spot on.

    Left with getting a 3 slide for the carb or changing it back to the dellorto
