October 13, 201411 yr Whilst riding some obstacles like a step I get the feeling the bike is flooding then immmidiately feels like starvation and engine pinks. Can it be both within a second or two. I was sure float was set ok and this is only time it does it and its costing me marks. Any help appreciated. Keihin carb by the way
October 13, 201411 yr Cant see that been possible . What is the first symptom is it a bork maybe ? If so it could be lean might just be due a carb clean

October 14, 201411 yr Author Thanks everyone for replying. Yes it's fine on hills I clean the carb quite regularly A plug chop says its running fine. I do get some fuel out of the overflow pipes sometimes This is what makes me think the float is too high but its set a recommended. Still baffled but could it just be no fuel for a second after a hard manoevre. Don't see others having same issue
October 14, 201411 yr Might be worth checking reeds, if you are sure carb is clean, Those Keihin carbs seem like a p.i.a. (never had one on a modern bike) Maybe time for a decoke. TLTEL
October 15, 201411 yr I looks again, no idear what bike or carb, he has a Beta listed? What drain tubes? These can cause issues!
October 15, 201411 yr Help up out here AnotherFive. What bike and carb do you have? Your profile says "Rev3" and you posted in GasGas. What do you mean by "the feeling the bike is flooding." When do you get fuel out of the overflows? Can you see it when you are riding? Has the bike always done this or is it a new condition? Have you made any changes recently before this problem started?
October 16, 201411 yr Re read the thing and he did mention a Kiehin, so therefore, if you have two hoses installed, one on bottom of bowl(overflow) and other bowl vent on right near slide, remove the vent tube to see if it still happens. Insure this one is removed or as short as possible if you just must have it. Do not powerwash water in there though! Do tell results!
November 16, 201411 yr came across this thread while trying to solve a problem on my 2011 280 raga. when going down a steep hill it doesnt run well down low. whats the right setup for the breather hoses on this carb? why would removing any of the two hoses make any difference? thanks!
November 20, 201411 yr They need to be able to breath (or leak). I always put on one hose from left pipe to right pipe. And then cut the tube halfway for like 1 cm open.
