New Shocks Required

Featured Replies

The time has come for some new shocks for my Bultaco, it is a 198A sherpa, so shock length 340mm. however for a mere mortal clubman rider what do I go for, budget is £250 max. however I am confused.com

There are Betors, which I have fitted currently, budget range circlips to adjust, work fine, just thought I would snaz the old girl up a bit.

Betors expert range?

Sammy Miller Betors again clubman and expert?

NJB's not had alot of success with these, however not had a pair for about 5 years?

New range of Betors available from Dave Renham at in-motion?

Falcons?

so open to suggestions or peoples personal preferences

Can recommend Rockshocks: good quality, can be tailored to your weight/riding style, they're rebuildable and all parts can be bought individually. Also their personal service is friendly and second to none. Should be well within your budget.

...and another vote for Rockshocks. Good price, very helpful people and most importantly - they work very well.

I agree rock shocks are good and a good service and advice

Another vote for rockshocks. Cheap and easy to rebuild which is good for me as I have bent the damper rod twice if falls.

Always had great service

Rockshocks are great but a shade over your £250 budget....

Steel Falcons very good and under your budget.

Have had good luck with my steel Falcons as well. +1 on those.

I had steel Falcons on my old HT5,they were very good and reasonably priced. As with the Rockshocks they are fully rebuildable with all parts available from stock. Both companies are very easy to deal with, and very helpful.

You may have to flip a coin.... Compared to the Betors which in my experience are leaky and not rebuildable.
