August 11, 20179 yr I have a 2007 TXT Pro and have a no spark issue. I have checked the usual earths, kill switches, spark plug new, cap new, still no luck. I have downloaded the Ducati ele diagram but no values on it. The Kokusan diagram has the values but not sure its the same for Ducati . As Im in Slovakia I cant take it to a specialist in UK until October. Does anyone know the resistance and voltage values to check the stator and trigger coil. Then if its not the stator has to be cdi or volt regulator.
August 11, 20179 yr Author The wiring seems similar, not sure why its on a modern txt, looks like I'll have to take it to a specialist. Electrics is my nightmare come true. At least my trusty Montesa 315 keeps going stong.. Thanks anyway
August 11, 20179 yr That stator looks as if it has been hand rewound. Has the bike run since it has been fitted? The source coil for the HT is usually wound with very fine wire (about 0.2mm) and has a resistance of about 50 to 90 ohms. The trigger coil resistance will be in the range 800 to 1250 ohms Resistance is not a good guide to serviceability. Far better to spin the flywheel with a drill. The source coil should give over 20V and the trigger coil 1.5 V, possibly up to 4.5 V. If the "trigger coil" gives different resistance values when the meter connections are swapped round, it is a hall effect sensor and you really need an oscilloscope to check it
August 14, 20179 yr Author Yes, the bike ran fine, no problems. Thanks for the info. Will post the solution when problem is found.

Too true. If you look at your stator coil with the extra resin bulges there are dark areas in them, this can indicate burning / overheating.
August 15, 20179 yr I have the same year bike and replacing this part fixes the no spark or no fan problem. http://www.splatshop.co.uk/gasgas-rectifier-regulator.html Except that I had to replace that box 3 more times over the years when the spark or fan wouldn't work so I switched to a Kokusan ignition.
September 1, 20178 yr Author Update, the CDI and voltage regulator seem to be the problem, considering how much those parts cost I think I'm going to convert to a kokusan system. Now I just have to wait and see what comes up second hand.

Mine looks the same… but bike was doing some weird stuff today, cut out when hot like it had an air leak or a jet had fallen out… holding the throttle wide open, engine surging but not reviving. Had to walk back and get the truck. Started later. It’s just been apart for new bearings… but I’ve been inside out everything… nothing obvious mechanically. Going to do some electrical tests next.

Other than the copper wires looking over gauge, the white glue looking very heavy and the green colour finish on top of the normally bare steel magnet cores. I think you are looking at a non-oem refurbished part. "… holding the throttle wide open, engine surging but not reviving. Had to walk back and get the truck. Started later. It might be OEM as mine looks exactly the same… Mine is an 07 TXT Pro also… it’s always been plagued with hot start issues and it’s not the first time it’s died on me like that… I had got on top of it before. Today was its second ride after two years in bits though… The way it cut was weird… I thought I’d run out of fuel… but I wasn’t out that long… stuck it on the reserve anyway. Still cut out and wouldn’t restart. Got it running again but holding the throttle, nothing, just surging at low speed on its own… wawwww, wawww, wawww… died again. Got it running one more time then dead. At first I thought if it wasn’t the fuel, it could be the main jet had fallen out… but then it wouldn’t start. I had bad floats, replaced them whilst cleaning the carb and stuck it in a freezer bag all sealed up ready to use. By the time I’d got the truck, was a good hour later… fired up first couple of kicks and ran fine. Let me run it up the ramp at least. Washed it for strip down and left it out in the sun to dry… started again before I stripped it, ran ok. Weird as the bike was running perfectly… until it wasn’t. June 20, 20242 yr Pic of the stator up on IMGUR for reference… Gas Gas 07 250 TXT Pro Stator Was looking at the kits… OEM kit only comes with the whole kit and caboodle… expensive. 🤪💸 So may be an aftermarket stator? Same as the OP’s either way… My issue may have been related to the clutch basket coming loose… we shall see… will test all the electrical stuff and check too.
