January 13, 20188 yr Funny that it ran ok before you stripped the carb, so maybe this procedure will help. Evo Carb - Removing & Cleaning 2017.pdf
January 13, 20188 yr Funny, that procedure is probably what caused this mess. When you have a small particle in the pilot circuit the last thing you need is a blast of air.
January 13, 20188 yr Did you take the mixture screw out when you was cleaning the carb ? Take it all apart again mate and check everything
January 13, 20188 yr Author I'll strip it all down tomorrow just find it weird that it will run with the choke on but bogs down and dies without it
January 14, 20188 yr Author Right totally stripped the carb cleaned it again with carb cleaner and reset the float height removed the pilot tower and checked and cleaned bike now run without bogging but if I blip the throttle it sort on ding ding dings is this normal or does that mean it's either to rich or to lean?
January 14, 20188 yr It could be a little lean. What jets are you running? You could give the outside of the carb and intake boot a quick spray to check for any leaks while running. Hard to tell by a few dings. Glad it`s better!
January 14, 20188 yr Sound like it could be the pings of poor fuel... It looses its octane rating if it gets too old. Used to have a Honda 50 that would Ping under full bore acceleration if using 2 Star. It was Ok for moderate acceleration, or if using 3 or 4 Star fuel.
