January 24, 200422 yr anyone got any suggestions where i might get a decent petrol can from. the plastic green and red ones are hopeless. keep leaking and the spout is never at the right angle especially in the middle of a trial when it's raining

January 25, 200422 yr Blimey! If you need to keep your petrol fresh, then your not riding often enough. One other point is that a lot of european trials now, insist on metal cans for insurance/enviromental purposes.

January 26, 200422 yr Metal cans are fine, just don't leave them sitting on bare concrete in an area that has temperature changes - moisture will condense on the inside of the can. Keep them in an area that has a fairly constant temperature and store them on some wood blocks; up off the concrete.
January 26, 200422 yr Metal 'Jerry Cans' are available in NE England from your local Army + Navy Surplus store, they also sell flexible metal spouts.

January 28, 200422 yr I've seen watering can type fuel containers with a fixed spout with a cap on the end, but I don't know anywhere that sells them. CK
