Anyone know what this clip looking part is for ? Its just infront of where the seat is

Was it to hold the seat on without the rubber straps? Didn't have that on mine. Maybe added?

Never saw anything like it on any of the 348's I've owned or worked on.

 

Rivets are sat under front of seat and looks factory, most peculiar ?

It looks familiar but I can't remember the function of it.

Does anything go under the seat end of the tank/seat unit, or does it just sit on the framework ?

There is a plastic toolbox that sits in the space but none of mine still have it

Planning to make a cushion of some description to go under ?

In the same thread does anything go on the frame between that and the alloy tank? and is there meant to

be foam or such like between the tank and the tank shelter. Just replaced a fibreglass tank with an alloy tank 

with fibreglass tank shelter on my bike and its a lot nosier presumably the tank vibrating against the frame?

Ive just put closed cell sponge fingers between my tank and fibreglass unit. Ooh and a halfmoon rubber sits at rear of tank onto frame.
