February 28, 20224 yr Does anyone turn off the fuel and let the engine cut out thus clearing the carb and fuel line after the last ride of the day? Could it be damaging? (Beta Evo 250)
February 28, 20224 yr I have a Gasser enduro bike with Keihin carb that does not like this, once I turn the fuel back on the floats will stick and overflow fuel. This is probably just me though, I have good results doing it with yard equipment before storage.
March 1, 20224 yr I do this very often on things that stand still for a longer period. However also here I got problems with sticking floats on the trial bikes. So for longer time I run them dry, shorter time we don't. For the equipment around house I recently went to Aspen, as the E5 also was giving problems.
March 2, 20224 yr I just shut off the petcock, wheel the bike over some unwanted weed and lay the bike on its side- left and right side. to the point the handlebar ends are on the ground. gas those nasty button weeds!!!
