  1. I am curious if you're able to find something. Already heard it is also very difficult for the 220. Also heard an other piston might fit, but forgot which. Only change I know would be at cms.nl for pretty steep prices
  2. Oh my ! That's not a little bit. Can u update on how the repair is going ? From what I understood the lubrication of the bearing is pressure feed. Which means there is a seal on both sides. U might just have another problem instead of a solved problem. I am very curious if this story is right. As I "heard" this, so I do not "know" this.
  3. Officially u need to set it with help of a computer I suppose. To reach it is a bit fiddly, but not difficult in my opinion (remove water pump). On my i have set it so that the bike runs fine, simple as that. Can be handy to have a bolt in it which u can turn by using a hex key with round head, that way u can adjust it without dismantling the bike. Short answer : yes, no special tools needed. U could try measuring with an ohm meter if the value changes when turning the TPS. I could not find values in the manual quick.
  4. You adjusting the TPS u can make the bike rich or lean. Wich also means that when it fails or changed setting the bike can become rich or lean. My first guess would be TPS, if the fuel pump fails it would be to lean.
  5. We had the same problem, changed seal and still leaking. Have changed them for all balls ? As read on this forum. Problem solved 🙂 O, and some tape around the edge of the fork to protect the seal when installing.
  6. Mine is very sensitive to knocking, so I will not even try E10. And I'm not in the UK.

    Clearing carb.

I do this very often on things that stand still for a longer period. However also here I got problems with sticking floats on the trial bikes. So for longer time I run them dry, shorter time we don't. For the equipment around house I recently went to Aspen, as the E5 also was giving problems.
  8. I have send u the files I got. On my bike the cdi was broke though.
  9. Aaah the picture makes it clear. On my bike that wire is on the nut of the cilinder which is very close to the wire.
  10. U would think the mixture is changed. Or the particles that find each other, something like that. Nog engine knocking ? They seem to be sensitive for that ? Are u maybe by coincidence sometimes in Nunspeet ?
  11. Very nice that u respond 👍 I agree in a slight bend, but in this video u explain it with a lot more ? Sounds exactly as with mountain biking. We use the attack position a lot. But it is not ment to use all the time. In our country u see many people use it continue.
  12. It more surprises me that it's being advised to stay low on the bike. We are being teached by a former pro who says to keep them more straight. Must say that no YouTube video can compete with lessons in real life.
  13. Jacked the topic from another forum. Do u believe in riding with bend knees or not ? This person says bend them : And here someone who only does it with direct function : In my opinion the basics should be with "straight" legs (mostly a little bend)If u start with to much bend there is little room for action and the weight is easily going more to the back, making things more difficult. (That is a problem I have)
  14. It really depends what your doing. I like the light and nimble feeling of a 125, but difficult with climbs and very picky with gears. I have an Vertigo 300(or 250) and love the reaction of the throttle and how precise the power comes. The old Beta 270 we have is a lot more difficult.
  15. mon français est le terrible pour vous anglais (je vais école trois an) The R3 seems the best out there to me. Wich region are u ? Chamadoe, La Bresse, Truyere and Pasquet in Spain are on the to-do list.
  16. I also have mx/enduro background and am eager to learn trials. We have plenty (trial) bikes at home and so I have ridden a few. In the beginning we had a 250 4stroke, I didn't like it, neither my girlfriend. I also do not like 4t on mx/enduro. The power is for me more difficult to control. The rear wheel slips more easily. I like my girlfriend's 125 in the beginning because it's so light, but the shortage of power and being very picky with gears makes that it's not favorite for me anymore. My Vertigo R1 300 is very favorite, I just love the bike, unfortunately it's mostly under the knife so I had to take an old beta rev3 270. The old Beta does not respond precise to the throttle wich makes things hard. I never had the idea the Vertigo haves to much power, it's so friendly. But the dealer told lately that it might turned in to a 250...... I would definitely go for a 250 or 300. But I do not understand the whole 200 thing. But I also ride mostly on sand and not on British clay.....
  17. I have had a lot of problems with mine, but that seems solved by now. A certain starting technique seems necessary. Cold : 1st kick full throttle, second kick half, after that no or little throttle. When warm little or no throttle and keep the throttle in 1 position. Once used to it it's no problem. The injection systeem must have good pressure from the fuel pump. Clogged filter, bad hoses worn pump are all things that makes things worse. The older bikes had the battery, I'm not familiar with that. The older ones also use an other type electronics, the newer ones (2018 and up??) Have the GET ECU. The GET u can read and even adjust. The older ones are a pain and not really supported anymore. The update is a lot of work and expensive. Way to long story 🤔

    2 stroke oil

I would prefer a good quality oil because there is so little in it. Not based on science though.
  19. We have a rev3 270. Although I have experience in jetting I would not know what it needs. The bike does not respond really wel on the throttle but seem to run wel if the throttle is more even on all positions of the throttle. From what I have read the Mikuni is crap and that corresponds with the tiny bit experience I have with them. The plus side is that with this bike I really have to jerk the throttle, else the power really isn't there. One of my weak points is commitment. This bike does not accept doing half at all.
  20. There is an arrow on the pump wich points to the bottom of the radiator. Would be more logic indeed
  21. The pump is pushing the hot water in the bottom of the rad. But indeed, it would not matter with the electric pump. Must say I have doubts on the Nitro turning into a normal setup. On the other hand there are rarely problems with a water pump.
  22. Doing larger job, so many questions. While connecting coolant hoses I got confused of the flow direction. If the arrow on the pump is right the flow is opposite to the thermosyphon principal. Anybody haves an idea why they have done this ?
  23. Interesting, wil have a look at some others. Curious where the difference is in.
  24. Can u add some pictures ? Mostly there is a hole in the bashplate (Wich never seem to be aligned correctly) to reach the drain bolt.
