I would suggest its there so its easy and quick to change the handlebars should they get broken in a WTC event?

Yeah but there must be other places to put it where it's easier to get to. Maybe on the fork stanchion, between the upper & lower triple clamps?

Its next to the handlebar switch for lights which has been retained, not neat. Most wtc riders have them on the bars, one bolt is not important in a bar change. Snail cams up side down too.

i think i will make my self a new handle bar top clamp set like the one in the pic on the c.n.c machine in work and get it black anodise look nice and trick on my gasgas pro
