No Scorpas are French ! Shercos are Spanish, Sherco just happens to Own Scorpa and provide power plants. Scorpa has never built their own engines. They started with Rotax, then went to leftover Yamaha Tyz Crapper engines, and now Sherco engines!!! But at least they can build a good frame obviously!! As Sherco said (hey why cant we do that)

My mistake, I thought someone on TC had proved that Sherco were a French concern? No matter.

I'm confused now, when I get a problem with my bike do I curse Pepe or Pierre? :o

As has been said, the rear tank was fine once they added a return line and used direct crankcase take off for the vacuum line.

The bikes still came with inadequate cooling, badly jetted carbs, too high compression for our fuels and not the best suited ignition maps.

Sherco said the front tank and airbox change was better for power as they had to explain the change in the press somehow.

They couldnt say, "The scorpa setup is lots cheaper as they are ordered in larger quantity now for both bikes, Cheaper material and less fabrication, Less hoses and no Dellorto fuel pump to buy.

New Dunlops are an improvement (on the costs!!!).
