Have been having issues with fork seals not sealing for very long, inspected the chrome & there are no nicks or rust etc on them The leg that has the biggest problem definitely has noticeable movement when extended so it looks like the top of the slider is worn I'm thinking that I'll need top have them bored & bushes fitted but so far I haven't found a 34mm fork that uses bushes that I can use & the coated bushes that can be bought from bearing suppliers are either 32mm or 35mm inside diameter Any suggestions of a fork that I've overlooked or somewhere that may be able to help

Is it possible to have wide pegs and not have to lift the peg for kick starting? Any pictures? One company advertises them on line but the pictures do not look like the 175 in my garage, maybe it is a 250.

Hi guys, Big ask but can anyone with a WES exhaust on a TY175 give me some approx. dimensions? I'm looking to fit the main box to a Bantam but need to know if it will fit before l purchase one. I only need rough 'eyed' in figures of the main box excluding the entry & exit pipes, the dims l need are the total length of the main box including the cones, length of the main rectangle section, height & depth of main section. I also would like to know the approx. angle of the lower section of the exit cone as this will be close to the frame between the swing arm pivot and damper top mount. Anyone got one for sale? Thanks in advanc…

Plug is very black, running it on 50 /1 motul mix with 98 octane unleaded. is there any one who would know the needle and jet sizing for these carbs / bikes ? Clubman A rider . Any thoughts on this ? I've got a downloaded genuine 350 workshop manual. Once it gets to gearbox internals, splitting c/cases and c/shaft work etc, it says "take it to your local dealer". I have 3 spare 250 mono engines and fancied rebuilding one from scratch as a spare. 1. I presume all workshop manuals available are the same and don't describe the above in detail? 2. Has anybody pulled apart an engine and can give me any pointers, pitfalls and what to expect, particularly; # g/box cluster assembled in which side case? # crank can come apart using a normal 15T hydraulic press? # Big end presses out from which crank side? # Any other things to look out for? …

Having fitted carb tune up kit it still won't rev right up the rev range. I thought that might sort it, it's fitted with electric ignition from ty trials which may have been altered 'I leant the bike to a friend' so advice on setting that would perhaps help as well. ANY help appreciated

Me and my dad recently acquired a old Ty80b, and after cleaning it up we are now stuck because we don't know what oil we should use and where to put it. The bike needs oil for the transmission, we *think* that we need to use 80w gear oil, but we don't know. Then their is a small oil tank that sits under the seat, and we don't know what to put in it. We can't tell what was in it originally, but in the transmission we found ATF fluid. I have asked around and their's no trend, so when I went to the internet everything there was also conflicting. So if you know, or have an idea on what I should use I'd love to hear it. Thank you.

Hi. i bought a set of TY250 forks to fit to my TY175. The problem is they don't have the lug on the fork that retains the arm that holds the brake drum in place. I thought the forks were inter-changeable but obviously certain TY250's had different forks. Can any one advise how to get these to fit. If I need a new wheel or drum to match does anyone know what specific TY variation these forks are from. My TY175 is a 1976 american market edition. bought as a non runner and now working fine. these forks are apparently from a 1977 TY 250. I am a complete novice, I'm just getting back into bikes after a very long lay off and hopefully into some trials once bike is sorted and i'v…

What does ti take to remove the oil pump? Can you just remove the outer cover, pull the pump and install a block off plate? Or do you need to remove the inner cover and pull more parts? Would that mean you need to have an inner cover gasket before starting?

This poor old bike has been extremely neglected by someone. Got my new tyres fitted and ready to install bearings/seals, and find my front wheel spacer between bearings was never there. Have tried the previously mentioned partzilla (couldn't access boats.net) for length of spacer but no joy. I know it's not possible to just measure up as its pressed between your wheel bearings but maybe somebody has info or a spare to measure?
