  2. I have some plastic fenders that are scratched up pretty good. I've seen these plastic repair/restore kits advertised in bike/dirt bike magazines that show super results. Has anyone tried these and how well do they work?

The forks on my Fantic 240 have always been a bit sticky so I stripped them last weekend & put new seals & 5W oil in them, they seemed a bit better but still not great. Tonight I took the top yoke off (a Fantic 200 one) and measured the centres of the holes compared with the bottom yoke - 0.6mm less, so I put the original 240 yoke on & the forks are fine. The problem is I fitted the 200 yoke to improve the handlebar position, so, my question is are yokes usually machined as pairs so they match exactly? or is the difference likely to be caused by tolerances? (and does anyone have a pair of 200 yokes for sale?)

Hi all, I realise this question gets asked alot and I don't want this to turn into a 'my bikes better than you bike' slagging match. I've always fancied trying trials and now I'm a bit older and have a bit of cash I figure why not? The decision I have to make is 'what bike to get'? We don't get many Montesa's down here in Oz so that pretty much rules them out but I was advised on another forum to look seriously at a 200cc bike as they improve your skill level and are good to learn on as you do the work not the bike. I'm 6 ft 4 and about 15 st, would a 200 be enough for somebody of my size? We also suffer from a lack of bikes down here when compared to the UK so can any…

Hey guys, My first post on here.I've read alot of threads and there seems to be a good deal of knowledge on this site. I have a rare health problem that has kept me from riding for the last 20 yrs. I'll try and make a long story short and hope someone can help me. I developed tinnitis (ringing in the ears, not so uncommon) and hyperacusis (the breakdown in tolerance to sound, uncommon and life altering) from an explosion when I was young. Degrees of Hyperacusis range from living in a sound proof basement not able to come out, to loud noises being uncomfortable. I'm 45 yrs. old now and I think it's time to try and ride.I bought a 2003 Montesa 315r thinking low reving t…

Does anyone know of somewhere that sells the red and blue flags that they use to mark out sections, or a cheap and effective way of making them. I have a rough idea how to make them but not sure what to make the actual flag and pole out of. Cheers BB

Having looked around for some sort of trials school where the bikes are available for hire and only found one in north wales which is a bit of a trek from northumberland it looks like I might just have to sell the trail bike, by a trials bike and see what happens. So I could do with some advice about what to look for. I'm a total beginner and if it makes any difference about 5ft 11 and 16 stone (or 100kg in new money). What CC? 2 stroke or 4? How do they differ within the trials world? What sort of things should I be looking for at 2nd hand trials bikes that I might not look for in any other sort of bike? Thanks all. Kev
