Hi all...I'm the recent owner of an '85 Cagiva TR350 which is missing the air filter. I can buy filter foam to make up another one but I'm a bit confused as to where it actually sits in the air box. The parts manual shows a screen and a flat, rectangular filter, which must sit somewhere in the air box, but there seems to be no tabs or flat surface for such a filter to seal against or anything to hold the screen and filter in place. There is some mystery nut shown on the parts diagram which is floating in the air and not connected to anything. It would make sense that the screen goes in against the filter then is bolted down into place to secure it...but no bolt is shown…

As a quick summary of the posts on the thread, the overwhelming consensus on this board seems to be 'We do not mind losing all genuine pre-65 bikes from pre-65 trials, we just want to ride what we want, and see no problem in that. All sports progress and that, to us, is progression in this one'. Of course, I disagree as a minority here also do. To clarify the original 'ICMTR Pre-65 Trials Rules' subject of the thread for those who were not involved, the ICMTR rules have been very carefully developed, they are a best start and are subject to further tightening if necessary, with some good points put forward here, but they are absolutely unambiguous and so enforcable, s…

Dear All, I have an original pre-65 AJS 16C and it seems that there is no classic class it can enter on equal terms from any club that I can find. It seems that the bike would need to be heavily modified to be on equal terms or alternatively just ridden for fun with little chance of being competitive. Whilst I always enjoy riding, it would be much better if there was a class specifically for original pre-65 bikes. That is not to say that the currently modified bikes would be excluded. Simply that the huge gulf between a modern pre-65 bike and an original one would best be acknowledged and catered for. The reason for posting this here, as a near novice in such things, is…

I bought the attached AJS from a bloke called John?? in Lincoln begining of this year. It was listed on good ole eBay but we had a deal before the auction ended. He told us that he had only been out on the bike once but didn't like trials & as he was a regular Classic MX BSA B50 racer was going to stick with that???????????. I asked him to send on previous owners details but nothing has arrived. Was told the bike might be registered so in short does anyone recognise the bike. The photo is as I bought the bike & it did genuinely look as though it was a regular used club bike but to me I just got the feeling as though it hadn't been used for a few years????? Had …

We finally got confirmation that myself and my 3 fellow Taverners members are in this years do. So if you are going down expect to see a Panther being thrown around and at the scenery by me. As long as I can stop it spitting split links out of the rear chain that is. I have moved the gearbox over a bit and bent anything I can see that might be rubbing on it out of the way. Fingers crossed I will find out this weekend that its sorted.
