Hi folks, I've just signed up to the forum as I'm looking to build up a bike for green laning and long distance trials. I've got a WD B40 frame and a C15 engine but I'd really like to put a Triumph 3TA engine in (mainly because I love the sound of the twins). I haven't got as far as acquiring an engine yet as I thought it would make sense to check out whether it's possible first. Has anyone out there done it themselves and if so are there any major issues i.e. will the engine fit the frame without major mods and is it possible to get chain alignment ok without dramatically changing the balance of the bike? I'm not looking to do hard core trials and it will probably s…

Here's a few photo's from today's (11th May) trial put on by the Aqueducts Classics club (North Wales), a good entry of pre-65 and twinshock bikes and a very enjoyable 3 hours spent watching, next time I'll be competing as I joined the club today .

Am I missing something or am I correct in thinking its Sunday morning and still there are no results posted on any website for what is described as the premier Pre 65 event in the world. Over the last 12 months organisers have been promising to improve communications etc etc, well how about putting some results up guys n gals, there are a lot of people who were following the trial from long distance and overseas. You manage to get the daily results up and rolling for the SSDT before the end of that days competion so why is it so different to the Pre 65 event. Yes, you are correct, I didn't get a ride this year or last year !!

Entered the first round of the Twinshock Trials Championship at Congleton this Sunday. Very good trial with 20 sections 2 laps. Nice venue and very good sections and route with around 100 entries. I think it is a very good idea and initiative to try to get out the twinshocks from the garages to use them a bit and return to the trials of the 70´s. Bit muddy for a Spaniard... but aniway enjoyed a lot. Thanks to the motoclub. Some pics:

I rode in the Cotswolds Cups yesterday the 1st round of the 2014 Sammy Miller Champions, who was there himself on a BSA. The going was slippery to say the least but a good day out. Who else was there, are there any pictures?

I am starting to plan our round of the Sammy Miller Classic Bike Championship and wondered if any riders had a view on how far the trial should ideally travel on the road. We can visit groups of sections used in the National Colmore Cup or even sections used in the 75 mile OK Supreme LDT, or anything in between. What distance is likely to attract the most classic entrants? Pete
