Has this trial been and gone?? If so not the usual time in the year. The website says TBA and wasn't updated after last Saturday date?? Nothing on their site about trial ??

Can anyone help with any knowledge of a strange old ‘bitsa’, trials motorbike I’m playing with? It’s registered as a DMW and the square section frame would suggest that it started out as one. The back end has been modified to support a Royal Enfield swinging arm and wheel. It’s thought the frame may have originally had a solid or plunger rear end. It’s got two rear sprockets bolted together, but I can’t see the point as it would be impossible to run a chain on the smaller due to it being against the larger. The front also has Royal Enfield forks and wheel. The engine’s a pre ’63 Tiger cub unit. The petrol tank’s probably also from an Enfield, but it’s been cut and welded …

Hi I'm in the process of finishing off building A C15 trials bike with later side points engine. Nearly finished need to get a new Carb as I haven't got one knocking around.Money is tight and not over keen on Amal concentric Carb and was wondering what modern Carbs people had tried and what experiences people had? Looking to run a 24mm Carb on an extended in let manifold.There seems to be a lot of pattern/copy Carbs on ebay very Cheap wonder if they are the usual China's quality or are they any good? Any thoughts appreciated.

Has anyone on here built a Bantam Cub ?? Just wondered about the engine mounts, were they completely different or modified ?? Anyone have a pic of a trials Bantam Cub. I think I've seen one but not sure. They were produced late 60s early 70s as road bikes.

Can anyone help me to identify these forks which are from a B40 trials bike I got earlier in the year (Surrey area). I've stripped them to replace the seals which were shot but cannot find anything to suggest a manufacturer. Stanchions are 32mm diam and 597mm long (parallel along entire length) There were two 42mm x 32mm x 7mm seals in each fork (is it normal to have 2 seals?) I'd like to get info on what volume and sort of oil to use in them Thanks in advance for any replies.

hi guys im new to trials and have been given a tr34 125 1989 i think!! im looking for a few parts which may not be around any more so i was woundering if there are any later bikes that share the same parts?? the main thing is i need a complete exhaust and cant find one any where!! wheres best to find parts?? any help would be great thanks john

Hi all, the Guy Fawkes trial is on the 2nd November, it's a road trial based in the Cotswolds. It's run by the Western Classic MCC entry forms are on the AMCA site, I've also attached a copy in this post. It was the first round of my clubs trial bike series today. For pre 57 bikes. I didn't ride as i am still waiting for my company car and the guys who normally can fit my bike in their van if I am stuck were busy. I popped over to observe. I don't know if this has already been posted (I couldn't find it on a search) but Mitas are now manufacturing 4.00 x 19 trials tyres. I've just bought a 1959 AJS 16MS in trials trim, I believe it would have originaly been a standard road bike. I just called Footmas James who I have another classic bike insured with and they say they won't insure it because it's a trials bike! When I asked them if it would make any difference if it was an original factory trials bike they said it wouldn't as they don't insure trials bikes! Can anyone recommend any insurers who will insure a classic trials bike? Thanks and here's a pic of the bike.

Does anyone know of of the heldun make of trials bike, I have a 50cc Sachs engined twin shock bike that my cousins and I learnt to ride on in the late 60's early 70' s, any information would be of great help in its restoration, thanks fitzg

Hi, Help is needed. Is there in the market belt drive kit for Bsa unit singles ? The ratio should be 18 teeth engine sprocket and 52 teeth clutch sprocket ( as it is for trial in the chain version). I have found belt drive kits, which ratio is 28t/52t, but it is not suitable for trial. Would appreciate much of some info. Is there some shop, which can make these. Best regards Restomoto

I'm in need of a speedo for my 3ta. Not interested in cheap Indian made copies. What I have is the square type speedo drive with the cable drive at the top looking at the rear hub from the right. . 1961 would have had a tick-tick -tick chrono, originals are terrible price! Any ideas on a little trials type? ratio would be 2:1 Cheers Bill

Hallo my Name is Thorsten i come from Germany. A few weeks ago i bought a Garelli 320 in italy. The engine runs bad. I bought some parts for the carburator new. The main jet was 100 The pilot jet was 50 The needle was X21 The nozzle was CX 270 (this part comes from Dellorto directly) Does enybody of you know what parts are regulary in the carburator? I need some other information. What spark plug is right? Now i put a Campion N 12 from my SWM inside. What is the inigtion timing? What kind of Oil comes in the Transmission ? In my SWM is automatic Oil. I hope i become information and it is possible for me to restore this funny bike. Thank you

Hi, There are some ignition kits available on the market. I would like to choose one of those for my BSA B40 Trials version, which is under construction. This will be the real thing with specially designed light oif frame, alloy hubs, lightened engine, etc. Has somebody any experiences which one PVL or Rex Caunt or Electrexworld or some other is a good choice ? A couple of times at the Twinshock show, I have seen a company making AMC rigid frames. Anyone remember who they are?

There are still a few spaces left for the Pre 65/twinshock over 40's charity trial at Tinto Motocross Park in July.The trial is part of a weekend of offroad motorcycling with a classic enduro on the Saturday morning,classic trial in the afternoon and Sunday has classic Scrambles. Dear friends, I have just bought a classic Cota 247 that has been badly 'reworked' by its previous owners. Never mind, it has its papers and a registration number, a rare thing in Italy where most classic trial bikes have been taken off the road to avoid paying taxes and thus cannot be re-registered (Crazy, uh?) I've asked the guys who restore my classic cars to take it apart to restore it, but I'm not sure if this engine has to be black...The bike is a 1980 (?) Cota 247, the engine number is 21M2*** but I never saw any 247 of those years with a black engine; my other Cota has its engine in its usual polished metal finish.
