As we've left it a bit late to book the ferry ( For various reasons) - We have only been able to book foot passenger tickets. I am looking to try and see if anyone has space for a couple of Bikes on the Ferry from Heysham to Douglas on Friday 30th August 14-15 sailing. and also on the return on Monday 2nd September Douglas to Heysham 08-45. We will be more than happy to share some of the costs .... Other than that you'll see two Blokes heading to the Bar with a 247 Montesa and a BSA C15 in their Hand Luggage !!! Any help would be appreciated... Thanks in advance... The Wobbler (And Leeroy who can't use a computer !!!)

I wonder if you could help me resolve a problem with Bill Beveridge I contacted him in March as regards his 4 plate Clutch Conversion Uses standard drum and hub. No slipping and lighter action. For Triumph Tiger Cub.http://www.trialscub...sion/4556577547 We operate a service exchange system on your existing friction plates, send us 3 good condition surflex plates, we will machine to thickness and supply the 4th friction plate and 4 steel plates - £70 plus postage. It was easier for me to get 3 Surflex clutch plates from Greystones and arrange for them to send to Bill. As I now live New Zealand I have since had the last email 19.04.12 Yes but I needed 4? Regards Bill…

Hi I've a very good condition Montesa 172, engine is sweet.....but can't get the gearchange sorted...... I was thinking of either selling on as is, or possibly change the engine ??...... Ideally I would like to keep in line with the era (i.e I don't want to put a modern chinese copy 125 in), and ideally keep as a 2T. Anyone any experience or advice on most appropriate, with minimal modification (although I've no problem with sorting some fabrication work) cheers John

Hello, calling on all the people out there with a wealth of information and knowledge on cubs. I am hoping to find out which bike the forks I have, have came form so I can match a brake back plate to it. I am making a 1963 trials cub out of a standard T20, I have recently bought a set of heavyweight forks and yokes which are internal spring, as the T20SS and SH had of that year had - seemed best suited. So the problem is that the bottom members in the parts list say it should be p/n's H1117 and H1118 but he p/n's I have on the fork legs are H1119 and H1120. I have been through all the part manuals I can find for all bikes made by triumph from 58-64 and they only show …

I want to get hold of a suitable trials swinging arm frame to add a bit more comfort to the old girl, "the bike not the wife" !!! and get it going to compete with the heavyweights Any suggestions what frame to look for . Your responses will be appreciated Cheers

all, haven't posted in ages, but something that maybe of interest to those of you that may be considering road registering your classic bike. Now is the time to do it, prior to the DVLA regional offices shutting and whilst it seems the need for inspections isn't so great. 18. Bob Forrest a member of the trials fraternity has sadly had his garage broken into in the early hours of this morning Saturday 6th April. He was at home in Leeswood near Mold, North Wales and heard a bang but didn't realise what was happening. His newly completed Faber framed B40 and his immaculate TLR with 1 piece tank/seat unit were ... stolen together with two helmets, his trials bum bag and many hand and power tools. Please keep your eyes open and let Bob aka Rob 07810 301980 or rgforrest@btinternet.com or the police know if you suspect you've seen them.

I have a 230cc Tiger Cub motor with a Dellorto carb, Armac exhaust and PVL style (UPB) ignition. The slow running and mid range power is okay but on long climbs where it requires high revs it misfires very badly and often does not make it up the hill. I have spent the best part of a year trying to get the motor to run correctly but I am getting nowhere and going around in circles. I have asked many fellow Cub owners for help but it mystifies us all. I have checked and double checked the ignition timing which is spot on. I have tried all sorts of spark plugs, main jets, needles and pilot jets but still the problem persists. Currently I have a 35 pilot, 105 main jet and a D…
