Yes; on any monday breaking away from work and enjoying trials and life with a friend. And yes; it´s me on a Montesa; in fact I like Montesas as much as Bultacos (not Ossa of course; useless irons...).

Colin Leese and Alan Miles lost their bags at the recent Downland Trohy trial. Both bags had been left with the petrol cans in the carpark by an observer who had brought them back from the last but one group of sections, but someone else has picked them up. The bumbag is blue with three pockets and contains some useful tools, the camelbak has a burn on it from a bike exhaust. They'd like to get them back if possible, so if anyone has a blue bumbag and a camelbak they are wondering what to do with, please give Colin a call on 07815 977323

Now that the Regulations are available for the 2013 Pre 65 dont you think it would be well just for the organisers to refuse any entries for next years trial from riders who were excluded from this years event . In my opinion it would only seem merited , if nothing else to discourage riders from blatantly abusing the Eligibility Ruling as the 5 competitors did at this years event. Cubette

Hi Folks, Contary to the tone of other threads on this forum, I've started to put together a heavy weight Matchless 350, and am considering where the sparks should come from. It's currently running a total loss system using points and a coil, which is fine for running around a field but not much use for a trial. I intend to re-fit a magneto and having looked on line have seen the new BTH electornic mags. Does anyone have experiecce of these? Are they worth fitting? Is there a better alternative, or better value for money option? And if this is the best option, should I go for the fixed ignition or digital advance version? I'd apreciate your thoughts and experience…

Yesterday I entered my first trial since 1982 when I was fifteen (if you can't be bothered to do the maths it means I'm 45) It was the S(unthorpe MCC';s Betts Cup Trial held at Manton Quarry. I was a nervous wreck at the start of the trial but managed to hook up with two great blokes who were both on BSA Pre-65's and were riding the white route; I think they both cleaned section 1 which was a fairly steep drop down to a right turn, over a small hillock then up a steep climb with a sharp right turn at the top. My Fantic 200 stalled just as I crested the climb and I had my first 5 on section 1. This was followed by another 5 on section 2 as my too fast approach to the ini…

Just arrived from the Isle of Man, want to thank Marilyn, Phil, Juan Readshaw and all the motoclub crew for the fantastic trial and weekend we have enjoyed. Also want to point out the amazing trial rode by Juan Knight that loosed just two marks with a rigid Bantham. A enjoyable video about the 7th race we could enjoy on Friday before the trial; 200 mph in an urban circuit with 1970´s bikes... http://www.wimp.com/streetracing/
