Bonjour, Anybody going to the classic trial in Provence in October... Being " Larry no mates " I need two riders to make up a three man team riding the Twin shock hard route . Let me know if its of any interest.. Just to add .. If any other halves need persuding to come along, my wife is usually bored stiff so she goes off and explores Provence and is happy to take along any other equally bored Wags......

Hi Guys I am at the early stages of getting a 1974 Yamaha TY250 into a usable condition I have put a new carb on it and an electronic ignition and now it actually runs I thought it might also be nice to be able to stop it so will be fitting a kill switch - the question is where do you feel is the best location for it ? It's a normal press button type but I have seen them fitted on the left hand bar - on the right hand bar and even in the middle between the two bar clamps I would be interested to hear your feedback in regards to the pros and cons of these locations

  4. Hi Guy's Just got back from the pre trial party. And what I will say is, you don't want to miss the one tomorrow evening if that is the standard set. Every one seems pleased with the set up despite the rain 24 hours ago. And the standard of the show bikes that have already arrived is breathtaking. You would be a fool to miss the opportunity to not to come along and see the trials set up of the future. So spoil yourself this weekend, and drop what your doing and get to Stoneleigh Park. PS after tonight Alan Whitton, is now named Elvis the second. Regards Charlie.

Im having trouble starting the old cub,she seems as if the piston is pressurising up in the bore and then the kickstart seems to get a spongy feel to it, it almost feels like its hydraulicly locking, could it be that the tappets are too tight, causeing it to sort of seize up If i pull the plug and kick it over it kicks over no problem, piston runs up and down smoothly. what am i missing can any one help regards Dan

Hi there! I am converting a street tiger cub into a trials bike. The bike was sittig arround the house for a decade, and never have time to start the project. After seeing a couple of tiger cub trials bike I decided to convert my street cub into a trials. First of all I want to do a quick mock up and start the engine as it is now (with the street gearbox) After that I will change the gearbox for more low end power and better climbing caracteristics. I alredy bought a mid 70's front fork from a kawasaki ke 125 and now I want to lace new rims to the existing hubs. I have a couple of questions for the more experienced here In first place I want to know if I can use a wm3…

im trying to sort the forks on my cub,i think they are heavyweight forks,as the light weight bushes and seals i have dont fit. upon dismantling i see the stanchions are pitted and worn so want to replace them, they measure 32mm x 20.5 inch long,(sorry no conversions done). now heres the problem the stanchions dont seem to be a standard size for a cub on the length.Or am i mistaken, are they bsa, norton, what are they. any help plz regards Dan

is anyone here using a Delorto carb phb 25 or 26 on a Bantam ?? Just wondering what jet sizes you are using. I have had it bored to 186cc with a Suzuki piston. Have tried a 25 which was off a Fantic 200 , it may be past its best, started okay but didn't run too well when warm, also a 26 which I believe was off a Gasser, the jets are the same ?? again starts okay, may run a bit better. Not able to take the bike out yet just getting sorted. Thanks in advance.

Hi all, I am, or at least I was when I last checked Ian Bullock It's my first time on this forum. I was steered here by the lads of the BMCA with whom I ride with on a regular basis, all about how well conversed my new addition to the garage has become. Well bug#er me, I've become bloody famous without knowing it. I am a mechanical engineer and sheet metal worker by trade and I run my own business from here in the Black Country. As some of our works involve unusual metals such as Titanium I simply got to thinking what if? After doing some research a couple or three years ago into the likes of T45 etc which seemed to be so popular a choice for replica frames, I …
