Gas Gas

I've looked far and wide for a right side crankcase for my 17 GP 300 and not getting anywhere. I think the case from 13+ would fit but every dealer I've contacted basically said "good luck". Other than knocking on the factory door and daily searching eBay, I'm about to give up. Any suggestions or sources? Thanks Zack

petcock on my gasgas jtx 250 (1997) is leaking badly . where can i find a new one or something to fit in ?

So my 9 yr old son is on his 3rd trials bike. He's had an Oset, and Sherco Kid 50 and now a GG 50 boy. He actually had the 50 Boy since he was 6 and I have lately customized it a bit so that he can trail ride it for much longer periods of time. I made a toe shift linkage and I put a PW50 seat on it. We trail ride for 3 day weekends and he needs a place to sit. the PW50 seat required only a couple scraps of 12 gage steel to attach using a few pan head screws to the stock locations. the shift linkage involves unscrewing teh thumb knob and sprocket cover and making a simple lever and mounting plate to activate the shift shaft.

I see the seat kit for the 2011 gas gas txt but it says it is only for the 2011 and newer. Has anyone tried to adapt it to the older model? I have a 2009 and would like it. I know there is the jitsie one but it is lower and seems flimsier.

I have moved this post from a previous one due to a different problem. Checked my bike tonight and the 280 2002 txt standard is fine going up the gears but coming back down hits a false neutral between 6th and 5th gear, not really a problem for me, but what are the possible causes and could it escalate to further problems ? Are there other known problems with this bike that i need to look for? I am so far very happy and impressed with it

Hello. After installing a new driveshaft bearing I'm a little confused about the two o rings that go with the shift seal bushing. I think the skinny o ring goes inside the bushing And the thicker o ring goes over the outside of the bushing under the lip of the oil seal. Is that correct?? Sorry just can't quite remember what way it was.. Thank you in advance. Gary

my son has got a ''97'' gasgas jtx 250 and having problems with the clutch.it doesnt work until the engine is warm.i know it has a problem with water getting into the oil,so ive have just ordered the water pump oil seal.i was just wondering what oil to use,i have heard 5w30 but the only one i can get is sythnthetic which i have heard is no good,can anyone suggest which oil to use

my bike seems to be fine and revs cleanly up until the point where it should peak and then it fluffs and has to be cleared out before it will peak. do you now how to solve this , i've heard that the exhaust port in the barrel isn't large enough is this true also.

hi have a trial in the morning and couldnt get any Castrol tts that i normally run at 75/1, all i could get was valvoline fully synthetic competion oil, anyone else use this oil and to what mix ratio, any help will be great!! regards

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had a gear change shaft with damaged pawls going spare??? I've got one sheared off flush!!! and was wondering if I could buy one with damaged pawls (as they normally break if the shear pin doesn't work) I would then make a good one out of the pair. What makes it worse I have thrown a damaged one out a couple of years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Ian

evening all, out playing on the Gas Gas today, dropped the bike and the kickstart snapped where it fits to the knuckle; luckily I could bumpstart it. just looked at the price of them - anything from £100 upwards. edit: just found a new one for £78! thanks Andrew

Hi, I'm need of a little help. The bike starts and then bogs out and dies after about 15 seconds? I noticed it will cold start then warm up a little then die out. It won't start when warmed up. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this bike please? It is the 327cc motor. Any info on this bike would be great I just got it and no nothing about it. I am brand New to trials.
