Gas Gas

  1. Quite the pain in the butt! All the fun of fishing a hose through the swing arm, and then of course the notorious bleeding! The replacement hose wasn't exactly like the original. The Original hose had a longer solid line section at the MC, with multiple small bends.. Anyone ever see that particular version of the hose? I did dig about online with no real luck. Good part is, I have a rear brake again!

The fork tubes on my 2000 TXT 280 are bent. The tube has a dent in it, so I suspect not repairable. Does anyone know if replacement tubes are available? I have looked on the Gas Gas parts list, but could not see them listed.

I need some main fork and dust seals ('12 GasGas 300 with 40mm Marzocchi forks), most of the trials websites and eBay don't seem to state the seal brand so I assume they are just selling cheap generic seals? The Pyramid Parts website does the whole kit for £17 but I've read that the seals can be junk. The only other branded seals I've found are SKF but they are about £50 IIRC for a full set of main and dust seals. So what are you lot in the UK buying?

Hi all Just got me a 2004 300 Raga and its the dogs! I'm new to this trials lark and have spent a short time riding a 2yr older Sherco 250 but fancied something newer and with a bit more punch. Took a bit of getting used to after the super friendly Sherco engine, but after my Honda XR-650 even this Gasser is quite tame. Obviously trials is a very different environment to enduro but had a good play on the bike over the weekend and the power delivery really seems spot on to me. It will chug up anything at low revs in a very controllable manner. The Gas Gas finish is however appalling..... The magnesium cases and swing arm look pretty rough, but hey the bike is made…

My chain came off today and started to coil around the front sprocket snapping the little alloy crank case breather off I have the right angled bit, but the part that pushes into the crank case has fell inside the crank case. Any ideas how to get it out other than pray it comes out with dropping the oil. Can I take this side of the crank case off or do I have to start with the clutch side and work my way back. Many thanks

I have replaced a damaged kickstarter cover last friday, and too badly also saturerday whole they. Took a s3 one and mounted without problems, bled the system, nor worries. Untill tried to start it the kickstarter did not went smooth enough (did start and worked fine for the rest) Spend hours dismounting and mounting parts to figure out where the problem was. Without the clutch no problem, with it it was too thight. Without the crankwheel no problem, with it it was again too thight. Searching searching etc. Finally sunday morning, replaced the kickstarter spring, the cup where the spring is in. Not stuck anymore, but now the kickstarter would not grap (the…

I have a question about my front end of my TXT200 trials bike. I noticed that it is very "springy" for lack of better words, and no matter how much I adjust the compression damping or rebound, to no avail does it reduce the "springiness" of the forks. The only work I've done to the front end is replace the seals and dust caps. I'm wondering if the adjusting cap which threads onto the adjuster top return rod (runs inside the spring) could be tightened down too much? Nothing else has been adjusted, spacers are stock ect. Same amount of fork oil, and same viscosity. I noticed that the cap threads into the rod and then intot eh fork tube up top. Perhaps I can back off…
