I have run 90/1 in my 2011 tr280i and switched to 130/1 with this season being my second. No problems whatsoever.Loaded my gear up this past sunday and didn't take my daughters TY175 because she was away. After a good warmup and a couple of loops i stopped to top up.Ooops....i topped up with the TY's 32/1 premix But ya know what? It ran perfect. Not really any smoking that i could notice.Starting was the usual 1st kick. But it did smell funny because of the Ipone strawberry scent.

Did a trial last week and while I was checking a section I left the bike ticking over. As I set off into the section the bike just bogged and cut out. I couldn`t restart the bike so I took the plug out to find it was very sooted up. This has happened before when bike was left ticking over to warm up. Even after cleaning the plug the bike is reluctant to start and needs a new plug. Is there anything I can do to reset mixture ? as it seems to run too rich.

Hi, hope someone can help me out!! I have a mk2 mar (75) and when I open the fuel tap the carb floods, i.e, fuel runs out of the float bowl. I take it that the gasket has perished but I can't find a supplier for a rebuild kit. Does anyone know of anywhere? Cheers in advance, Nigel.

Hi, My 300 has the factory clutch, been well used and no probs with slipping etc, but i seem to be having to adjust it a lot and cannot get the right release position on lever. Its very slightly draggy, or to close to handlebar to feel correct. I know stack height on friction plates are 9.75 total, but anyone know the finger end height from centre of clutch basket? Regards, Ian

Here in the US, 7mm fasteners are not common. Not that I need many, but is there a reasonably priced source for this size fastener. The real oddballs I need, since I had to drill them to remove the skidplate, are the 7mm flush head slotted screws.

OK are there any electronic/computer geeks out there who have an OSSA TR280? I tried to buy the cable from an ex distributor and they wanted $650CAD ($500USD) - no way. I cannot find one for sale in elsewhere. BTwice does not respond. If I know the proper communications protocol, a cable could be made up for under $40CAD, which would include the connectors to the OSSA. After hunting around I was able to find out some information: Two of the four pins on the diagnostic connector are for power. The other two are for communications. Looking at a picture of the BTWICE cable (from USB) it shows some electronics for protocol conversion, but I cannot quite…

My 73 MAR 250 has an IZD carb installed on it. This was what came stock on these machines. I am compiling a list of items needed, all cables are needed. Problem is, no where do I see the cable to go from the Amal throttle to an IZD carb. Would it be the same cable ad for an Amal carb or Bing?

My 1973 MAR has some corrosion on the flywheel and stator. With care, I have cleaned up the poles of the stator. To clean the corrosion from the flywheel I used abrasive cloth and cleaned the magnets and interior. I also used the abrasive cloth to clean the flywheel exterior. Removing the corrosion also removed whatever protective coating was there, so I ask, does anyone know what the oem finish was and what color a new flywheel would be.

I have studied the parts diagram and notice there is a plastic tube inside the gearbox with slotted ends that serves as a gearbox breather. In my cleaning up of this old machine, removing concrete like mud, I have yet to find where this breather vents to ambient outside air. Could someone please explain where the gearbox breather vents externally? Thanks

I've got a new to me 2015 Tr250. I know absolutely nothing about these bikes. Is there any good resources? Any knowledge you care to share is appreciated (I could not even find the fuel on/off valve!) okay I'm off to see if I can find an owners manual online.

Hi all - yup, me again I just got my petrol tank back from the painters - and its oh SO nice! What a lovely paint job. The paint shop is in Ware, East Herts if you want anything painting. It's a great place :-) Anyway, I have the rubbers for the frame lugs that the front of the tank rests on, but what's at the other end? There is a rounded bracket at the back of the tank that seems to sit snug on the top frame tube, but should there be something under this? Is there supposed to be a rubber or something under the tank? Should finally have it running and fired up this week - for the first time in over 16 years. Yay! :-) Adrian

Hi just seeing if anyone can help I have recently got an ossa that is in bits and I am not 100% sure that the model is what I think it is. I have matching frame and engine numbers but when I have looked at a full list of ossa numbers they don't seem to be on there. I am thinking its a verde frame number starts with B-70.

I have a little 'burble' at very small throttle openings I only have ever had if the play was really knackered or the TPS needed reset. (Runs great everywhere else and mixture appears great on the plug- running SSDT Hard map) So I decided it would be a good time to just check everything anyway ((290 hours). Reeds good, new sparking plug Idle right, TPS set to .6V and set to EC Air filter clean Cleaned sensor in lower airbox I did see a little corrosion on the ECU connections (dang it!). Attempting to clean well. That could be my issue. BUT I wanted to test the injector to see what the pattern looked like. When I do the injector test in the software, it just clic…

What are others seeing as a 'up to full temp' coolant temperature in the software? I never really noticed before, but I was getting some off idle 'burbling' I've never gotten (except when the TPS needs setting) and thought perhaps it was goofed up. I saw 130C - fan would come on and go off, no boiling or any other issues. I didn't measure the actual coolant temp in the radiator, but it certainly seemed normal. Does it really run that hot? (I have not found anything in the manuals that state running temp yet) Mark

Hi again Re the Ossa clutch - how far down should the springs go, and what do you use in the holes in the end of the threaded adjuster pegs? Is just wiring them up OK? Also, what is this bit? I'm guessing from the bolt length it fits on the timing cover casing - the top bolt by the clutch arm? If so, why? If not - where and why? This has got me puzzled I must say. Thanks Adrian

Hi, Hope someone can help? Ive just purchased a TR77 250 which was sold as a poor runner with the previous owner thinking it needs new points or main seals which were both supplied with the bike. On getting the bike home it starts up very easy but struggles to rev up at all. The bike is fitted with a Dellorto carb which I presume is wrong so maybe causing bike to run bad. Can someone confirm what model of carb this bike needs if current one is incorrect and also where I might be able to get the correct one from? Many thanks, Tom.

Hi all Thanks for your help so far with my TR77 restoration. Today I got the top end on, the timing done, a spark, and most of the parts left ready to bolt on (waiting for a pushrod oilseal and the paintwork to come back). I'm sure that I'll be asking for more help, but here is the bike as of tonight. :-)

Hi all I'm restoring a TR77 that I got as a box of bits. Attached is a photo of my old front sprocket, and the new one supplied by InMotion. The InMotion one is much wider, and if I fit it, the sprocket nut sticks off the end of the shaft and is almost touching the outer casing. The thinner older one fits perfectly. InMotion told me that they only sell the wide one for Ossas and this is the correct one. Is the TR77 different to the MARs? Any ideas why this is wrong for my bike? The spacer behind the sprocket (that the oil seal runs on) is the correct 11.5mm thickness.
